yellowsportwagon
Resin 73 Chevelle on a AMT NASCAR chassis. This was a goofy looking car the way the rear axle was placed in the wheelwells.

Pierre Rivard
An absolute beauty Tim. Extra points for sticking to accuracy with the 115 inch chassis into the unmodified rear w/h opening location. Looks goofy but heck, that's the way it was. Your builds are always a joy to watch sir!

bbowser
Well done! The difference in the length compared to Petty's Charger is interesting.

steveracer
Nice model of a fun subject! And thanks for the WB information that I never realized. Tell me, why the resin model body over one of the AMT or other injection molded kit bodies? I don't like the wheel openings of some of the injection molded Chevelles, but thought it fixable.... Very nice thanks for sharing!

Very nice thanks for sharing! It’s basically a resin copy of the old MPC Yarborough Laguna with an AMT nose bumper and hood. I absolutely hate the AMT kits huge wheelwells and goofy completely wrong roofline. The MPC body is light years better. So rather than scare up a rare AMT 73 kit and a scarce MPC Yarborough kit just use a resin. Way cheaper. This isn’t the best body I’ve ever seen but I’ve had it for years. Time to use it. TooOld
Well done Tim , those Chevelles were great looking race cars ! I never realized AJ's team didn't modify the rear wheel openings .

Bigchef2112
Great looking build Tim. I put one of your modified AMT chassis under mine. I used Drew’s method for fixing wheel openings. It’s sitting in primer, I need to clear my bench and get er done. Hopefully mine look 1/2 as good as yours.👍

Roy L Frost III
real nice build! I am from indy, watched AJ drive the 500 and stock cars at the State Fairgrounds dirt track with USAC. All the big names were there, miss that form of racing
