Justin Porter Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 This particular build represents a little bit of a victory for me. I bought the kit 20 odd years ago from my local Hobbytown USA and tore into building it, at which point I made a major error in masking the nose that I didn't discover until after most of the original decal sheet was applied! Disgusted, it got shelved and I've carted it around partially finished ever since. In my effort to empty my basement of a certain amount of plastic ballast, I've been revisiting these old projects to prod them along to completion. In this case, a trip into the brake fluid, an order to Indycals, and some creative repainting of already assembled parts meant that this otherwise box stock build is now on my shelf. Just for a little bit of difference, I chose the Indycals sheet for the #21 car from Le Mans driven by Danny Sullivan, Price Cobb, and Davy Jones. I figured it would be a nice change of pace from the more routine #2 race winner. 3

Rich Chernosky Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Justin...this is one difficult project to decal and paint. (mine still sits in the box 90% complete) but you have mastered it. Great job on this one. 1
cifenet Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 Sweet comeback. Awesome result!! I think the it really boils down this: it isn't how to build it correctly, but rather how well you correct the mistake. 1
Pierre Rivard Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 Very nice. Tough one to do on the paint & decal side. 1
peter31a Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 Beautiful Jaguar, Justin! You’ve done a great job of resurrecting this model. 1
Dave B Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 That looks great Justin, mine has been untouched for the last 30 years!! Dave B 1
Peter Lombardo Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Great job completing it. I also have one of these models on the shelf for well over 20 years that one day I hope to build.. I did build the Hasagawa curbside version and have the Daytona white green and red car to do also. 1
