DL1099 Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 My first post.. tried to replicate a street car set up to occasionally go drag racing.. Painted with Duplicolor rattle can .Added the vinyl top and proper trim to match. Also added header flanged (scratch built) ,safety chain fuel lines to carbs and detail master distributor .. Its a nice kit.. 13
Kenmojr Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Excellent, my neighbor has a 1968 Charger, but it has the 383.
Rattlecan Dan Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Beautiful build! Great attention to detail, and super paint job. Thanks for sharing.

Nicholas Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 great build,..i must admit i never seen a chain used as a driveshaft saftey loop!,..that would never fly with a NHRA tech inspector, lol
XYHARRY Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 G'day Dana and welcome to the forum. This year model Charger is my favourite and your rendition of it is classy on the outside but with all the horsepower needed for weekends at the track. I particularly like the safety chain for the prop shaft. Well done and am looking forward to your next build. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, David. ??
NOBLNG Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Well done Dana!? The stance is perfect, and nice job on the vinyl top and all the detailing.?
drodg Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Great build. My uncle had a silver, black vinyl top with black bumble bee stripe 68 Charger R/T when I was a kid. My favorite muscle car of all time. Again great job.
karbuildr Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 For your first post Dana, you sure knocked it out of the park. Great build, like that body color with the vinyl roof, engine compartment is gorgeous. Welcome to the forum.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 That's a great looking Charger! Great paint, vinyl top, and details all around! 1
Yeah Nah Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Real nice! The 68 and 69 models are easily my favourite Chargers. 1
DL1099 Posted August 24, 2023 Author Posted August 24, 2023 Thank you all, for the welcome and nice comments..
TarheelRick Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 Really nice looking charger, especially like the header flanges. But, most of all your photography is very well done. That first picture caught me off guard for a moment, thought it was the real thing.
