Those Duke boys knew how to hot rod a Charger!

The build looks great,i was a fan of the show due to the cool car and also miss Daisy in her shorts,or lack there of!

For those that cringe at the thought of the confederate flag, the one depicted on the car is the battle flag

The flag representing the confederate states wint through several versions with this one being the last befor they lost the war

Nice build!

To my eye the 68 and 69 Chargers were the best looking of all. Almost a tragedy the producers of The Dukes Of Hazzard demolished so many of the then remaining 69s.

A car that should be in everyone’s collection. Nicely done sir.

I agree! Lost count of how many General Lee's I've had over the years!

Every time I see one of these built, takes me back to my early teens. I knew where I was going to be every Friday night.

Spruslayer, I had a sticker of that flag in the corner of the back window of my car. Nobody was offended because they didn't know what they were looking at. Some even asked what country it represented.

Yup. I did one back in the 80s as well. Been wanting to take another crack at it again.

Ya'll are hypocrites. First you ban a fellow member for no reason because he posted a Confederate flag and yet you, the moderators allow The General Lee kit WITH the rebel flag viewed for all to see. Which are you - the kettle or the pot? Obviously, the mods seem to pick and choose what's offensive and what's not. Apparently, this General Lee isn't offensive to post.

If you're gonna delete offending posts, why is the other flag allowed to be posted on this forum thread?

I could care less because I loved watching The Dukes of Hazzard on Friday nights. The Confederate flag really doesn't bother me because like it or not, it is part of our American history's past. Theres not a **** thing anybody can do to erase it. Frankly, I'm just about sick and tired of folks here getting thin skinned and offended over stupid trivial stuff of our history's past. Get over it... Either allow the General Lee kit as a finished kit; (A great build BTW) be allowed to be posted or delete the thread. They're your forum rules, not ours. Make up your mind.

We allowed the one on the car, as it is part of the model, even though we didn't like the fact the op drew attention to it in the original post. We removed the person who posted the giant rebel flag and only the flag. We also removed the person who complained about how the mods do what they do and once again broke a forum rule.

To add to Mike's point. We have no issues a confederate flag, provided it's used to complete an accurate model.

As an example. Say someone builds a WW2 German tank. Looks amazing, beautiful weathering, has a swastika on it. For accuracy, we'd let it slide.

And the in the thread that follows, someone posts a big swastika. And then someone follows that by posting "Arbeit macht frei ."

Is that okay? Everyone cool with that?

This is no different. The flag offends many, and beyond the scope of accurate models, it is not allowed here.

And if that distinction offends you, then maybe this isn't the place for you.

Aaaand moving on to the model itself. That's a great job on the MPC version of this car Eric and is probably one of the best replications I've seen with that kit.

Thank you!
