I hate to take the bait here, but I can't help myself. I defy anyone to take a ride, or better yet, drive a 2024-25 S650 Mustang GT manual and then say that it is boring. In fact, it is the complete antithesis of boring. Now I realize this comment may apply more to Mustangs as subject for model kits, and while the evidence would suggest most modelers like and buy Mustang kits, each and every one is entitled to their own perspective on this topic.... Like a 1985 Blazer AND a 2023 Durango Well, stranger things have happened. 1
Jordan White Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Hopefully this kit is a sign of things to come for Revell with their future new tools!
Chuck Kourouklis Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Checked in with myself on this one: "WOW, I really want a squarebody Blazer kit and all the pickups the tooling might spawn?" "YUP! Hey, I'm just as surprised as I am." 😁 (would'na Suburban be keen?) 5

The grouping of the parts on the sprues portends the other versions we’re all hoping for will be offered as well. Given that these trucks are gaining popularity and the poor state of previously tooled examples, I think Revell really did make a smart choice. Sorry I had to post it as a response to your message Brian. At the time I got the "oops, that page can't be found" message every time I tried to post that as a separate comment. It was the only way it would go through. 🤨
Casey Posted January 14 Posted January 14 New tool Squarebody in 1/25 scale?!!! LONG overdue. Also explains why the "Street Custom" stepside version was recently run one more time, maybe. Round2 better get the 1/25 '75 Blazer kit back into production soon, too, to steal some of Revell's thunder: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/3726-amt-75-chevy-blazer/

I’m glad you got through. 1

slusher Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Jonathan’s Galaxie if they release that there is all kind possibilities that can be built one is Burt Reynolds 71 White Lightning Ford! 1
Ron Hamilton Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I had a loaded Black and Silver 1981 for a company demonstrator. It was quite a gas hog, and fortunately it got sold within a week of my receiving it. I have several 3D printed grilles, and a very nice set of 15" Aluminum factory styled wheels, but I may go with something else from the aftermarket. Everything is dependent on the fit of the 3D goods I have. I'm quite sure the kit will be first rate. 2
Falcon.Studio Posted February 7 Posted February 7 what’s the difference between the revell germany and revell usa version of this kit? the usa one is 22 dollars cheaper here

Matt T. Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) I would think the decal shown above is the US version, it’s pretty minimal - just enough to complete a box top replica. I expect the expanded Euro sheet to have the US decals plus alternate police markings and maybe something quirky like stripes or graphics. Edited February 8 by Matt T. 2

The sticker sheet has license plates with several country codes. 1
StanGlover Posted February 11 Posted February 11 FYI, the Blazer is finally available for order from megahobby.com! I got the availability email today. I already have it pre-ordered from Model Roundup so I’ll just wait until they get it in (their website still says March). I’m excited about this one for sure!
Falcon.Studio Posted February 11 Posted February 11 got mine, what a sweet kit a must have for square body fans 2
Rob Hall Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Yeah, got one last week from Southern Motorsports Hobbies. Looks really nice...looking forward to the GMC Jimmy version later this year. 4
Chuck Kourouklis Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Yup, just taking the first tour thru mine, too. Positive first impressions (not quite '71 Mustang-positive, but pretty close). 3
Rob Hall Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I don't even mind that they cast the rear roof w/ the body, because when was the last time you saw an '81-91 K Blazer or Jimmy with the top off? 5
Ron Hamilton Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Now where did I put my 6 lug Rally Wheels? I wonder will the upgrade Grills from different years fit? I would like to do a 81.
