DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I finally took time to finish this one. AITM resin cab, glue bomb AMT R-model frame, resin rear wheels and tires from AITM, pewter rear axle from AITM, resin tanks from AITM. 7
Jim B Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 That's one awesome looking Mack. Really well done.
Warren D Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Very well done, I like the crisp line between the colors. What do you use for masking? Everything I've tried has bleed to some degree or another.
Gary Chastain Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Wow, that is really a sharp build, well done. Love those old Mack’s.
leafsprings Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 A true classic in the golden age of trucking, excellent job, great detail work, your Carolina fleet is looking very impressive!

Thanks Warren. I have found that Tamiya tape works best, but I do have trouble with residue. Lacquer paint also seems to help. A thin fast drying coat as opposed to the slow drying seeping enamel. As soon as I finish the trailer, I think that the fleet will be done, at least for now. On 11/17/2023 at 6:49 AM, chuckyr said: The series continues. Thanks Chuck!! That is a B-67 that actually resides at the Transportation Museum not very far from where I live. I have several pictures of it. It was the inspiration truck for this build, especially the air starter tank. On 11/17/2023 at 6:51 AM, David G. said: A gorgeous build! It has a good feeling of mass to it. David G.
