Slotto Posted November 17, 2023 Share Posted November 17, 2023 This one has been on and off the bench for a number of years. Each time I worked on it. I had a different vision of what I wanted the outcome to be. Over the years, shes gone thru extensive body work as I cut off the roof at one point only to lay it back down with a more aerodynamic look. Also fabbed up a hood hanger that's hidden when closed. I hate body work! Mainly because I'm no good at it. When I put her back on the bench, I was determined I wanted black with a satin finish with red interior. The seats came from a die cast and the grille is from the '59 Thunderbird. The steering wheel is from the Moebius Hudson and the dash is from the '58 Impala kit. I was going for the rat sheik look. As for bodywork, practice practice practice. I know when I started on more major mods, I think I sanded more than I didn't. I actually went thru a lot of filler learning.
