TooOld
Here's my version of the Tom Daniel Honest Engine , I always wanted to build one like this and really enjoyed it ! It's built right out of the box with only a few modifications as follows : 1 – Relocated the headlight to allow adding the record label . 2 – Added two flags to the front . 3 – Added a small chain to the whistle . 4 – Opened the coal tender so I could add the instruments . 5 – Mounted a custom bass drum skin in place of the parachute . It's painted in a Red-White & Blue theme using Tamiya rattle cans . I used gold foil from a Revell Lunar Module kit and printed some custom decals for the stars , nameplates , woodgrain , and Grand Funk goodies . The drum kit was made from scratch using sheet plastic and coated wire for the stands . I was also making some guitars and mics until I realized it was getting too crowded in that tiny car ! Thanks for looking , I hope you like it ! Edited December 2, 2023 by TooOld

TarheelRick
Very well done. GFR, one of my favorite bands, enjoyed them immensely in the early 70's, still do every now and then. Edited December 2, 2023 by TarheelRick
