Finished this one friday and I'm really proud of it. It's a LOT more complicated than the AMT kit. Engine is outstanding, frame is accurate and builds up from multiple pieces (X frame is 3-4 pieces by itself) and it has a 2-speed rear end. I'll post pics of the undercarriage later.

Really kewl looking 40 convertible.  Yeah that interior looks killer and I really like the old flattys.  Nice job.

Great looking build and the showroom appearance and colors are nice to see. The paint looks great and the color and finish on the interior looks very realistic.

I painted the base color as a tan acrylic, then once dry gave it a wash of a very dark brown paying special attention to the seams.  There was a little texture on the surface that seemed to pick up the wash well.  I used the same technique on my 1932 Chrysler Convertible, but I did it with a more red tone.  I've never posted that one, but I may put it up soon.  :)
