Monogram Pro Modeler 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible

Finished this one friday and I'm really proud of it. It's a LOT more complicated than the AMT kit. Engine is outstanding, frame is accurate and builds up from multiple pieces (X frame is 3-4 pieces by itself) and it has a 2-speed rear end. I'll post pics of the undercarriage later.

That is one outstanding Interior. Would love to know how you achieved the look?

I painted the base color as a tan acrylic, then once dry gave it a wash of a very dark brown paying special attention to the seams.  There was a little texture on the surface that seemed to pick up the wash well.  I used the same technique on my 1932 Chrysler Convertible, but I did it with a more red tone.  I've never posted that one, but I may put it up soon.  :)
