junkyardjeff
I picked it up built and used it for the engine for one of the 39s,it looked decent so I added some detail and put in the Pontiac engine from the 34 Ford coupe kit. Found some steelies and 57 hub caps and good enough for a quicky build with parts in stock.

XYHARRY
Cool, that's exactly what the teens of the 50s and 60s used to do with these as they were cheap first cars back then. Well done Jeff. Cheers, David. 😎👍

espo
We used to call a car like this a "Sleeper" since it didn't look like it had much under the hood until it was too late. Realistic looking paint finish and the unassuming look for the time.

Kenmojr
Love 53 and 54 Chevies. My Dad owned one when I was a lad in the 1950s. I cried when he traded it in on a 1957 VW Beetle. I wish I had both the 53 Chevy and 57 VW Bug in my garage. Either one would be a cool stable mate for my 1960 Vette. Your 53 Chevy is very cool... Lunajammer
I like this. I haven’t seen that wheel treatment on the old RM Bel Air before but it seems so right.

Caps are from a Revell 57 and rims I had in stock.
