ewetwo Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 My aim was to build the coupe, convertible and fastback of the Mustang in the same factory color because I think it was one of the best colors for them. It's done. Slightly different engines. I'm not sure but I think the first V8 offered was a 260 cubic inch which was a gold color. I could be wrong but I'm going back 55 years so my memory might not be correct. Different wheels. Original caps. Caps with spinners and custom wheels. Mission accomplished. 15
oldscool Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 They all look great. The scale difference really sticks out when you put them side by side but that's OK with me.
ewetwo Posted March 25, 2024 Author Posted March 25, 2024 Thank you J.Gibbs, Donato, James, Bob, Garry, Chris, Gerald and Tom.
Bainford Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Nice trio of ponies, David. They look great displayed together. Nice work.
espo Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Great looking Corral of Mustangs. I think you are correct about the 260 cu in V8 engine.
ewetwo Posted March 25, 2024 Author Posted March 25, 2024 Thank you Trevor, David, and Mario. That was stretching my memory David. But figured the 1964.5 convertible would have had the 260.
karbuildr Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 Beautiful work on those Mustangs. Great color choice, excellent idea to build one of each, very well done.
XYHARRY Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Wonderful trio, I can imagine these side by side in a local Ford dealership back when they were new. Really well done David. Cheers, David. ??
Sledsel Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Sweet builds. Be nice to find the AMT convertible for a truly matched set.
