Well, after struggling a bit with the roof because I built up a bit of a crown, I think I've finally got it!

Definitely not perfect but good enough for a hot rod!

Color is more maroon than it looks in direct sun with green for a background, more like the last picture over gravel.

Kit Karson, I'm really diggin' the ambitious project that you've taken on!

You seem to have the main proportions together, I just LOVE such projects, nice job so far!

Got a couple of things done on my '32. Picking up where I left off, the radiator/grill shell needed to be shortened due to the frame sectioning to channel the body over the frame. The grill shell height that was needed was figured out and then shortened. The hood needed something to land on at the front so the top tank on the radiator was cut off and mounted to the grill shell. Some small adjustments were made here and there, and things are fitting good at this point

The next thing I decide to work on was mounting the fenders to the frame. But they could not be permanent yet, just want them to land in the same spot every time on the frame. I probably went a little overboard but now I am confident that the fenders will mount the same every time they are put in place during the build.

The plan is to use 1.6mm rod mounted to the fender/running board and have holes in the frame to receive the rod thus holding the fender in place. Seems like a good plan. First thing that was needed to be done was to thicken up the frame rails so that holes could be drilled without the drill bit coming out the side of them. Even after adding the material, it was somewhat challenging getting the holes drilled. You can see in the pics how many starter holes were drilled, filled, moved, tried, before getting things to work. Had to add material to the running board where the pin holes were to be drilled. They needed a little more area to move inboard. All said, this was time well spent as the fenders just pop on and off making things way easier to work on.

Kit Karson what you have going on is very cool. I don’t know how you can look at a bunch of parts and come up with that. Just amazing. Dennis really like that color. The body work looks good to me.looking forward to seeing the finished product.

That “winter front” grill is an interesting piece for sure. I’ll have to look into one of these for a future build.

They are really nice and fit quite well. I have a couple of them from when they were first offered. Get one, it's a great piece.

I managed to get a dashboard to fit, a Revell from their recent series, in the old Orange Crate body.

I had to add to each side and sanded the top so it doesn't look like a padded top.

I drilled the vent pulls and put small shirt pins in, added photo etch piece for the glove box knob.

I used the clear gauges with a piece of a file folder for the background color, which I like more than white for a vintage style build.

Pedals are junk box items modified with scrap styrene, made to fit.

Progress is slow but it's patio and BBQ season!
