While I'm waiting for putty to dry on a build, I thought I'd share a few of my old builds, one of which is a tribute to my 1985 Trans Am from the disco era :) This is easily a 20 year old build, so I don't recall specifics, but the color scheme was pretty much exactly the way my car was. Ah, those halcyon days!

Thats a nice looking T/A you got there! Smooth glossy paint and attitude to match. Gives me inspiration to maybe get my Firebird GTA built over the summer.

Like it! The color schema is so classic.

A little nitice: it looks like the issue by Monogram (scale 1/24) or by ARII (but I don't think so because it looks like the hood can be opened). AMT/MPC never had this rims and they always built T-Top models (since the first issue around 1984). Only the Notchback came as coupe.

Thank you Christian. I do believe it was the Monogram as the hood does open.

Yea, they did. I have a couple glue bombs and a couple unbuilt mid. '80s in the stash with those wheels.  , , not great depictions of them bet they are there.

You're right about only the first issue as the only one having the solid top but it's an '82, not '84. Had to get one for the body to make a replica of my 1/1.

Definitally. I have all the MPC / AMT/ERTL F-Body of the 3rd Generation in my stash because I'm a big fan of it. I has been addicted to it, when I bought my 1988 Formula 305 back in 2000. Love that car.
What I want to say was, that the MPC rims weren't that pretty like Monogram / ARRI did their rims. I think, we are on the same opinion :)

Maybe it was a missunderstanding. The first issue of the T-Top was around 1984 ;) The solid top was earlier on the marked. Man, I love this kits too.
