XYHARRY Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 (edited) G'day folks, here is my version of the Revell/Monogram '65 Vette' Street Machine. Completed in April 2022 it is painted Tamiya TS-60 pearl green and TS-29 semi gloss black for the interior. This kit went together nicely except it didn't have windshield wipers (or maybe I misplaced them) so I made up some out of scrap styrene. Wheels and tyres are parts box items and the antenna is stretched sprue. Thanks for looking and all feedback is welcome and appreciated. Cheers, David. ?? STU111 Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 G’day David. Great Vette you’ve got there. Love the US Anson style wheels on it, a real period touch. What base, if any did you use under the Tamiya pearl green? I have a 65 Impala kit that I think would look good that colour. Again, nice work.?? Cheers, Stu.

G'day Stu, I usually use the Tamiya grey or white primer. I think it was grey on this one. Thanks for your kind words mate.
ModelcarJR Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Really nice looking Corvette, David! How did you do the dash gauges? I don't think there were decals in these old kits. They look great! ??

espo Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Like the paint color and finish. The interior finish looks good. Nice chassis detailing as seen in the front end shot. The wheels fit the time frame of the mid '60's. 1
bisc63 Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 Really nice looking 'vette; that color is just cool! Nice clean build. 1
