LennyB Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Nice work Greg. As Jim says the wheels look great. I love working with those backing plates. I cast them whever I have left over resin from something else. I have them all over the place. 1
Zippi Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I think all the wheels would work Great Greg but the red really makes it all pop. 1
David G. Posted March 18 Posted March 18 As much as I like the green two-tone wheels, I have to agree with @Zippi. The red wheels are a bit more striking. I guess it depends on the mood you want to convey: smooth or edgy. They both work well. The interior looks great too. David G. 1
dino246gt Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Man that interior is fine looking! Love the seats and belts, awesome! 1

Now you guy chime in after I spent the better part of a day and a half on the two tone wheels.🤯 Actually, the more I look at the pictures, the more I agree that the red wheels are a nice contrast. The green wheels tend to make it all look a bit drab.🥴 Seriously, thank you guys (and everyone) for your honesty and input.🙂

I had all the mockup pics to examine before investing the time in the new wheels. Just as a check, I asked the wife which ones she thought looked best and she didn’t like the red ones, said it looked like a Christmas tree…so I know for sure now that’s the route to go.🙂 Edited March 18 by NOBLNG 1

customline Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Mine always hates it no matter what it is. I've learned to hope for indifference 😔
NOBLNG Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Starting to get some final assembly done now. I went with the red wheels and they are epoxied in place so no changing my mind again. The windows and tail lights are in and the gas cap is on. I got the radiator and shell glued in and some support rods in place. And I scratch built some rad hoses for it. 6
customline Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Greg, this thing is a showstopper. Very unique, and very clean. I like the red wires as much as the '37s. They both work, imho. 1
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Trophy! Thanks for this. Loving the side draft carbs and everything else. 1

1930fordpickup Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I have not checked in on this for too long. This is smoking hot. Well done. 1
Zippi Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Man oh man...what a good looking Hot Rod. Looking good there Greg. 1
David G. Posted March 22 Posted March 22 It's the "Gettin' Down to Business" coupe! Excellent call on using the red wheels, everything is coming together quite nicely. David G. 1
