karbuildr Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 (edited) This is a kit I painted some time ago, finished the build, but didn't photograph it until recently. Very easy kit to build, not a lot of detail, but adding a few things here and there and decent paint, and it turns out pretty nice. I personally enjoy these older metal axle kits. Color is by House of Kolor, Teal Pearl. A while back I posted the ancient AMT 62 Corvette in the same color, but on that build I added a little blue. This one is straight up Teal, only thinned and cleared with House of Kolor Klear. Some Bare Metal foil, wiring, hoses and Pegasus wheels and tires. Edited December 20, 2024 by karbuildr 7
AMT68 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 The color and clear look super nice. I like the lowered stance and oversized wheels on this model.
70 Sting Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Nice build. Cool colour which is sooper-smooth. 😎
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 So many good things to see. That engine bay is super. The air cleaner looks like real metal. Good stance.
Zippi Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Very nice clean looking build there David. That Teal color really pops.
SpikeSchumacher Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Very cool, clean build David! The wheels are unusual, but work very well with the color and styling of this car. Which Pegasus wheels are those? Not sure I have seen them before... Cheers, Mathias
espo Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Beautiful paint finish and color. The contrasting interior color goes well with the exterior. Like the stance.

Cheers, Mathias Sadly, I don't remember the name of the wheels and tires, I failed to place that in my notes on this build. I thought at first they might have been Swirl Stars but that's a different design. These particular wheels are apparently out of production because I couldn't find them during an online search. I'd like to have another set since they seem to work pretty well with larger vehicles. 1
Koellefornia Kid Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Thumbs up, David! Nice stance, cool wheels and a great paint finish!
XYHARRY Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Beautiful body and paint. Stance and wheels finish it nicely, well done David. Cheers, David M.😎👍
beeRS Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 That is stunning. I love the shape of the ‘66, and that stance with those wheels make it look even better.
Plastheniker Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Perfect work, the paintwork looks spectacular!
