VanGoGo Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Hard to pick one, the sound of the '55 Chevy (drag racing the '70 AAR cuda) in the opening scene in Two Lane Black Top made me love that car...even tho its not much to look at. Munsters Dragula was love at first site Watched Harold and Maude again last week, the jag gets honorable mention for being so unique I'll end it there, easy to get carried away with so many cool cars! 2

When people see my T/A there's about a 50/50 chance they tell me I should paint it black. 🙄 I think I remember when you posted you car when you bought it and it was blue. Not easy to change colors and black is my least color choice… 1
ranma Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Also like both of these used in Live and Let Die! Brand new 1973 Caprice estate Wagon and 1973 Bel-Air 2

stavanzer Posted January 1 Posted January 1 I have three Favorites. #1. The 1914 Stutz Bearcat from the TV Show "Bearcats" #2. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. #3. My Mother the Car. Fortunately all three have been done as Model Kits. I have the Stutz, and the Porter, but I've never been able to catch a good deal, on Chitty. I wish Round2 or Atlantis would re-pop that kit!! 1
Little Timmy Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) I use to watch this movie all the time. Haven't seen it in a few years. Edited January 2 by Little Timmy 2 1

von Zipper Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Far too many favorite movie cars to pick just one. One of my favorites is the 1966 Plymouth Valiant convertible from The Flim Flam Man
von Zipper Posted January 2 Posted January 2 The movie that fueled my life long love affair with FORD trucks, 2
Falcon Ranchero Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Or These It's funny because if you watched Herbie the Love Bug, Ralph's Hot Rod shows up in the Mexican Road Race scene. That was in 1968. 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Also the Trunchbull's 1970 Buick Electra 225 from "Matilda", the movie based off the Roald Dahl book. Pretty strong to lift up the rear and spin the whole car around 🤣

Although, I absolutely HATE that no one can talk about a late 50s Fury without mentioning Christine. Same with a Delorean. No article, no story, no picture, no Delorean discussion ever happens without someone making a BTTF reference. Sad part is, it wasn’t even a Fury. It was a Belvedere. But I suppose “Fury” sounds much more sinister than “Belvedere”. 😊 But, I agree, Christine was the only movies that I’ve ever watched a second time just because I wanted to see the cars. Otherwise, as is often the case with a good number of “car” movies, it wasn’t all that great. There are a lot of movies that I wouldn’t consider car movies that had a lot of great cars in them, but the movie wasn’t just a cheesy story to highlight the cars. One that comes to mind is “Tin Men”. Great movie with a lot of nice Cadillacs, but the cars weren’t central to the story. Steve Edited January 28 by StevenGuthmiller 1
Bugatti Fan Posted January 28 Posted January 28 We have managed to get this far with no mention of the now iconic James Bond Aston Martin DB5 ??? Or the Aston Martin Vantage in the Timothy Dalton Bond movies. A more brutal Bond car than the DB5. Unfortunately the use of BMW cars in the Brosnan Bond films didn't cut it for me.

Which Bond film had the Retrobird Thunderbird featured? I like those cars, but they don't really fit the 'Bond' persona..........
