cobraman Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Hi gang ! I’m back with a simple build . Some may remember I sopped building mid 2023 after I finished the Agoura Shelby Cobra . So what made me do another kit ? Well when I found this one I had to get it because it was my second car that I owned about 69/70 . Mine alas was not an SS . Bench seat , auto , 283 with dual exhaust . So this is not exact but as close as I could get with the kit parts . Only thing extra I bought was the steel wheels . Not the best I ever did , I felt a little rusty . Paint is not great and in the past I would have stripped it and do it over . Chassis as you know , is a one piece affair so I detailed the best I could . Tamiya paints were used . I must admit it was good to get back in it if only for one kit . I look in from time to time and have seen some great models . Thanks for looking . Ray 14
karbuildr Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Very nice Chevelle. I especially like the steelies and your detail painting.
PappyD340 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Great looking Chevelle there Ray, I just picked up that kit myself.
espo Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Great looking build and the detailing really makes an otherwise basic kit standout. Alway an enjoyable experience building a model of a past vehicle and the memories that come flooding back into your mind while doing it.
Claude Thibodeau Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Hi Ray! Good to see you back' I saw those on the street, in this shade, back then. The power of nostalgia. Bravo! CT
Mopar2 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Very Cool 64 Chevelle...She looks like you can get in and drive her...Awesome...
happy grumpy Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Nice and clean looking chevelle. Such a familiar sight when I grew up.
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I think it looks pretty sweet! Especially since it's a replica of a real car.
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Nice-looking Chev. You've got that black rim, white wall classic look to it. Great job.
Bucky Posted February 12 Posted February 12 No need to put this one in the back of the cabinet! It's Top Shelf work! Looks great!
1959scudetto Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Good-looking Chevelle, Ray ! Nice to have you back.
