Went by my local HL and there were 8 model kits at 75% off.

Went to the Hobby Lobby by me on Monday to grab a can of paint and saw nothing like this. Have to walk all the way to the back of the store past 57 little shelf units of odds and ends but didn't see anything special. Oh, and saw the same model inventory from any other time I dropped in to the store.

I picked up the 69 Yenko Nova, 67 Corvette and 67 Camaro at the one near work today. The Camaro was marked @ $7.74. Thanks for the heads up.

Picked up 6 kits yesterday on clearance. The clearance stuff is in the normal isle with all the other model stuff. Also noticed some craft paints & tools on clearance.

Was in HL in Rochester, New Hampshire yesterday. No reduction sale. Just 40% biweekly sale.

Olive Branch MS has them.  You wouldn't know unless you look at the price tags.  They are all still in the regular aisle.  Some just had to clearance prices.  They were pretty much gone except for the Bronco and the Nova.  I grabbed the last Camaro and Malibu.

Since most of the clearance items are gone by now does HL restock them every week. I'm guessing new stock is coming in eventually just wondering if they restock the clearance items.

They normally do not restock the clearance items. They use the empty slots for new items. They will put a tag in the slot with the description of the new kit going there.

This is great news. Hobby Lobby is hopefully going to get 8 new models!

Was at Hobby Lobby today and the clerk who knows me asked if I picked up any reduced price model kits. She said they are getting ready to reset the model department. I asked what does that mean. She said new kits will be added to the current lineup, she did not know if the selection would be made larger or stay the same size but will be happening soon.

In a somewhat related topic to this, seeing a few sellers on FB posting some of these kits for $25. I'm sure they think they are on the road to riches but only if someone buys the kit.

Looking the video of the DAAM show in Detroit last weekend on YouTube, one vendor looked like he blew out Hobby Lobby and Ollie's.

That vendor was up against the back wall right? If it was i did pick up a mercury kit he had for 15 bucks. I figured I spend more in gas looking at the ollies around me for that kit.

I was in one last week, I found the clearance section, no models.

I asked someone who was doing inventory, when is the 40% off thing happening. I was told, every other week.

I'll be going later and will ask about models on clearance. There is always someone around to ask for help.

The clearance models were still on the regular shelves at mine.  The only way you would notice is that there was a clearance price sticker on them.   Otherwise they were just on the shelves like regular.

I will look today, there is another hobby store next door, their kits are never on sale.

The clearance items have yellow price stickers on them.  The 40% off every other week does not apply to those items.
