Kenmojr Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Chad Hiltz aka Bad Chad Customs used to have weekly car show on Discovery TV and Amazon Prime for a season or two. His shop is located in Canning, Nova Scotia. He is also a friend of the late, great Gene Winfield. I took these photos August 2009 at a local car show in Windsor, Nova Scotia. 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I like the larger fins, but the front end is an odd choice

johnyrotten Posted April 28 Posted April 28 He's a very talented guy, sometimes his style isn't my thing. His Bugatti project showed a ton of expertise and skill, I enjoyed that.
peteski Posted April 29 Posted April 29 That thing is so very homely that it made me throw up on my keyboard. What a mess!

StevenGuthmiller Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Wow! I guess there are some people that just have no sense of style! This is a prime example of the problem that I often have with custom cars. Everybody thinks that they're a "designer". 🤮 Steve
Bucky Posted April 30 Posted April 30 That front end looks like it belongs in the Cars movie with Lightning McQueen! 2 1

MeatMan Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I guess I'm just different. I think customs are just expressions of people's imagination. Don't get me wrong, I don't like this style at all, but I'm not gonna bash someone for making a custom I don't care for. Heck, there are George Barris & Gene Winfield customs I don't like, but I respect their imagination and the work they put into them. I don't think customs should have a limit, or a "formula". I say do what excites you. 1
stitchdup Posted May 1 Posted May 1 It could be worse Its very rare for a car to be released with an already accident damaged front end but its a look thats growing 1

rattle can man Posted May 2 Posted May 2 At least they had the guts to try it. Not my cup of tea. It just goes to prove that old adage: just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Just like our own custom model project, I think. Edited May 3 by Brian Austin 1

Brian Austin Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I thought being unique and not following the herd were good things.

Falcon Ranchero Posted May 5 Posted May 5 (edited) Um, is this the same car? Looks like it is. I mean I don't dislike this as much as the brown version; this looking a little cleaner but still that front end is an odd choice. I guess this is it as of 2019, a full 10 years after the photos of the brown version were taken Edited May 5 by Falcon Ranchero
bobss396 Posted Friday at 11:04 AM Posted Friday at 11:04 AM I'm really not anywhere close to liking anything that he does. 2
redscampi Posted Friday at 11:11 AM Posted Friday at 11:11 AM (edited) He doesn't seem to have any grasp of automotive design concepts. There is nothing aesthetically pleasing to the eye in anything he creates. It's just a lot of stuff randomly grafted on to what was once a decent looking car. The wildest creations of George Barris look downright tasteful compared to this. Edited Friday at 11:12 AM by redscampi 1 1
