Falcon Ranchero Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Ok going to get this right this time; 1966 Dodge Charger hubcaps are my favourite. Interesting to know what your favourite stock hubcaps are.
DJMar Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago If we're talking factory only, mine are the 1966+ Mustang hubcaps. Also, in a more generic vein, there's nothing wrong with steelies and baby moons! 2 1

Funny thing about this is that as I understand the word hubcap was originally used to describe a small cup-shaped metal cover in the center of a wooden spoke wheel. It protected the hub bearing from debris and keep the lubricating grease from oozing out. Those early wooden wheels usually did not have full wheel covers. Later on, when wheel covers became more widely used, I guess people found using the "wheel cover" name too cumbersome, so those full size covers became hubcaps. Many contemporary cars still use the small hubcaps for non-driven wheels/axles. 1 1
Sledsel Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I have seen a set of these with a 3 bar spinner and they were sharp. 78 Cordoba 2
Rodent Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago The best hubcaps are no hubcaps. Even better is a car with 4 wheels and 6 hubcaps.
