Looks like it's found its true calling.

And yes, it does look like a sci-fi movie prop, which is fitting for a police vehicle in a city that's based largely on pretend. I think it's kinda cool.

In my area the majority of them have been wrapped with advertising, which makes sense because of the attention-grabbing nature of the things.

Even tho I'm not a fan of the Delorean mating with a dumpster, now I can't use that joke on this.  The peak at the roof with the light bar looks right, but the Dr. Seuss LED lights on the fenders.  Considering the flak over the bullet-proof windows, easy to armor.  Now when will Musk give President Trump a new Beast stretched Cybertruck? 🙄

I hope somebody does a deep-fake AI film of that. It should go wildly viral.

I thought this horrible looking piece of junk had been recalled for so many things falling of, plus brake and steering faults! Thankfully they can't be used here in the UK, as they are far too wide!

If the police mechanic shop can keep them running and get the bugs worked out, it could be a decent option for policing. Range depends on who is testing, anywhere between 200 and 300 miles on a charge. Most officers don't cover more than 150 miles and a lot do less than that on an average patrol. I do wonder about shift changes, though. If the charge is getting low, it's not like they can gas and go when the night shift comes in.

These things are kind of growing on me. Had a chance to drive one, spent an hour in it, and they're actually pretty nice to drive. I Don't want one, but I don't hate them.

Would be nice if the build quality was better.

And I think they actually look pretty good with the right wrap on them.

EV makes sense to me for urban use. Vegas PD vehicles would never leave the city, so a 300-400 mile range would be plenty.

Edmonton Police Service run a couple of Mach-E GT. Supposedly for evaluation purposes for a wider deployment of EV. It's in actual use though, not just for events and parades.

You're not supposed to think about that, and if you do, don't mention it.

But the solution is simple Just buy twice as many as you need so half can be charging all the time.

I would to see that thing do a high speed pit maneuver. I'm sure it will go well.

Wonder what amount of lateral impact will cause the bumper to...just...fall...off.  One can only ask so much of glue.

In an earlier post Frank mentioned "Theyre only being used for special events 3 of them already got damaged due to lack of experience by their officers", so I don't expect them involved in any high-speed maneuvers.
