Since steel shed's make for ovens this time of year and I haven't got it insulated/climate controlled yet (working on figuring out how to pay for it,LOL) I must wait until evening to go out to the new workshop, but I have been putting some stuf out there, getting it ready :P

Nice Type 181 (uh....Thing :P ) :D

I didn't get work on a build on the new bench/in the new workshop today...as expected,it was 10-15 degrees hotter in there than outside,LOL! I DID get most of it all set up however, and ready to build (late eves, early mornings). Since I can't afford to just jump in and electrify/insulate and panel it all at once,I'll spring for a bit every pay period of hers, and my once monthly pay as well until I get it easier to keep it cool in there (by which time I'll need to keep it warm :P). Nice to walk out there and see all my stash stashed in there,as well as the few built-ups I have left :)

Your Manx is coming along nicely. That kit drove me nuts. Good luck with your build.

Thanks Ray, I didn't get it done before our club meet this past Thursday as expected, it has been a slow build for me. I want to build at least one more for off road, maybe it will go faster. Something about the engine just doesn't look right to me. The fuel pump on the side is an early VW 36 hp version is what I'm told. DSC03746.jpg

MORE CORVETTES!!!

This Weekend I am working on a way to mount the wheels on the CordVette and I have started a New Project!

LSR Vette Team actually started a few years ago when I Attached a Corvette Indy on the front of a '59 El Camino. I did nothing more to the Transporter untill a few days ago...

I started playing with the Attempt 1 LSR Car and realized it would fit in the bed of the Transport, so I washed up the Transport and applied a coat of Filler/Primer on it. Then I started modifying both cars to make my New Bubble Top Project...LSR Vette Team!!!

Progress photos coming soon... B)

Didn't get to work on much of anything today-too much errands to run,LOL! Here's some pics though, with a new score (just sitting) on the bench, picked up today :)

I did shoot another couple coats of clear on the Merc I'm working on...I'm beginning to believe the clear I have (Duplicolor "Protective Clear Top Coat") is'n actually a "glossy" coat, just a sealant-that's ok for this build, but would be a pain on others if I don't find out (it doesn't say anywhere on the can....anyone?) :)

I've been out of the hobby for a while. I moved into a new house, got married, etc. So today I decided to get my sh*t together and start working on some old projects. But first I needed a bench, so I built a simple 5'x2' bench in our spare bedroom. I also set up my lathe in the garage and purchased a mill attachment for it. I pulled out my old Viper drift car to finish as well. I'll hopefully be done this week some time.

The little bit of time, that I have to spend on models today is going to cleaning up these 2 ratty '68 impalas, and hopefully put in some time on a few of my trucks.
