Here’s two old customs I own that were no doubt built back in the heyday of the early 1960s!

This was  the original issue of the Vicky. It’s survived well, and the coolest thing about it is that the original builder glued the body to the rear tires to act as a hinge. It has a metal axle and it works to allow the body to lift and lower. Gotta love kids engineering!

One of my favorites that I call “The Duesy Duece”! Beyond cool!

Those are very cool.  The Duesy Duece shows someone's imagination and creative skill from way back.  The nailhead is a cool touch too.  Very cool.

Nice pics.  Love all the hot Rods from the late 20's to the early 30's.

These 2 look like they have machined wheels. The wires for sure. If the mags are styrene this finish work is impressive.

I remember this one. Great concept very well executed indeed! What purple metallic is that?

This one is my favorite. Is the windshield from the Phantom Vicky? And how was that great up-top done?

Hi Bernard,

thanks for the interest. The wire wheels are indeed machined with photo etch spokes but I can’t remember who buy as for the highboy they are the kit wheels but with dullcote sprayed over the chrome.

As for the green highboy it is a replica of Sid Chavers ride. The Duvall is indeed from the phantom Vickie and the up top is heavily modified from the same kit.

Thanks Russ. Dullcote can be magical stuff. As for the uptop, that's a really impressive conversion.
