Even if you try to use %*&% or whatever in place of letters in words that are swear words, you will have the complete topic or post deleted.

Do it twice, and you will be banned.

Calling someone else names or calling them out to beef, will result in permanent deletion of your account, and a ban on your IP.

Yes, I can track each and every one of the IP's for each account

One great new feature of the forum upgrades.

I'm getting sick and tired of all the swearing and fighting.

Play by the rules, or go start your own forum/board somewhere else.

Okay, I pau...

*Insert swear word here* Does that count? :)

Agree though, less boasting and more posting!

No, that will result in a double ban

Think of it this way: If you even think about swearing here, you will pay the price.

NOW GET BACK TO BUILDING SOME MODELS!!!!

Ray, that's not good either

Calling someone a jerk is what I'm talking about.

It is about the attitude.

All I can say is...this post and reinforcement of these rules is way overdue. Especially the "attitude". I have been a member here for over three years and used to reply and post new topics, especially assisting others with technical questions/inquiries concerning "old" Chrysler Corporation vehicles, due to my background with the Corporation. I've been "lurking" here for the last year or so and not participating. Why? Because of the frequent immature attitudes, language, threats, "Evil" juvenile behavior, and the again all too familiar "I'm taking my marbles and going home" posts . Was much of this all for attention? Who knows. I used to come here to enjoy the model car hobby with fellow enthusiasts, and that's all. (Isn't that the main purpose of this forum and magazine?) Not to play head games, watch temper tantrums, or talk about popcorn, etc. I had gotten so disenchanted up with the behavior on this forum by a select few, that last night I submitted my resignation to Harry...and even HE replied that the "juvenile delinquency factor" had

gotten way out of hand. In replying last evening to my request, he mentioned that to resign, I must contact Greg. (Notice that I was resigning in the quite unannounced, mature way without topic posting or fanfare.) This morning, after logging on to contact Greg and seeing this topic...it's just what the doctor ordered. I hope these rules are enforced and monitored on a frequent basis by the administration. Maybe now we can get back to enjoying our hobby through this forum, and assisting and enjoying each other with our projects. In other words, using common sense, respecting each other, and keeping the topics about "Building better model cars". ;) Fury3

The BIG DOG has spoken. ;) I have never even attempted to swear, out of respect for Gregg and my fellow forum members and builders. For those that want to act childish, I will usually ignore their posts. I am glad Gregg has finally had enough. The beauty if IP bans. :o

Now since Gregg lives in Hawaii, wouldn't it be the BIG KAHUNA or something? Big Chief, Top Dog, The Boss, you know what I mean..... ;)

Gregg, what is the correct word, or name?

I think about swearing all the time, I just don't often put those thoughts into words.

Aside from the obvious "deadly nine" (two more have been oficailly added since George Carlin's day) is there a list of offensive thoughts, words and phrases published somewhere so we can know what to avoid. Are words like "darn" "dang" and "heck" to be considered in the same realm as "#*&>"? What about "fudge" "frak" "frag" etc?

I want you to know that I do understand your intent, and I agree with you completely about the need to address the immaturity issues that arise on occasion. I just don't want to get blind-sided and side lined one day because I unthinkingly used an inappropriate word. I would be a bit upset if that word turned out to be something that would be acceptable in a Sunday School class full of six-year-olds, but not here on this forum.

I don't intend to bend the rules, flaunt them or push the limits to see what happens. I just want to know where the boundries are so I don't inadvertently cross them.

Respectfully,

David A. Gudzinas

Hopefully we can get back to dealing with models and NOT have to concern ourselves with useless tirades by malcontents. If anyone hadn't noticed, ALOT of our older more established members had stopped dropping in and posting. I sure hope they see this and resume posting. I miss them. This WAS becomeing the place to AVOID for some members! Now that the hammers been dropped, those that like to critisize their fellow members can get the hint and get along, or just leave! Why folks feel the need to berate others is beyond me. Yes, I DID say how upset I was about the changes that were made, but, as was pointed out, CHANGE HAPPENS! So, I did what I had to do, I CHANGED too! Now my "Skins" allow me to be able to post properly, and I even learned how to use the chat room. I STILL am learning to move my pics from my personal files to my photobucket account, so I can post, but that'll come too. I'm just VERY happy that Gregg has, In NO uncertain terms told those that like to start trouble to "Get with it,OR LEAVE!" Now hopefully, we can get BACK to the actual reason FOR this forum, MODEL CARS!!!!! Again, THANK YOU Gregg.biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

I guess this means the days of the MCM Forum Soap Opera are over. That's fine with me. I've always liked it here and maybe now it'll be an even better place. Thanks for putting your foot down Gregg.
