Come on, Christian. Let's be honest here. Do you really read Playboy, or are you like me and just enjoy the pics?

No time for any others! Heck, I don't even actually read HCC or HMM, I just skim them. Wish I had the time to actually read them! But I have the whole set from day one... can't quit now!

Besides, I've had a letter published in HMM, so I'm a "contributing editor!" B)

I have every issue of each of these since they came into print. Like Harry, I only skim through and read selected sections.

Word! Not to mention the cool articles and profiles they do about builders and parts makers from back in the day.

I used to love Custom Rodder. I was really disapointed when it was cancelled a few years ago. I used to go through every issue for days. I like Rod & Custom too but I don't buy it all that often any more.

Of corse I get every issue of MCM from my local hobby shop. That way I'm supporting Gregg and the shop at the same time. B)

Same here... both times. The modern-style customs in Custom Rodder still influence quite a few of my modeling projects to this day.

I'm also a big fan of Car and Driver- not so much for modeling inspiration as for the sharp wit of John Phillips!

The magazines which DO inspire my modeling are Model Cars Magazine (well, duh!!!!!), and 'those other two' (One's title rhymes with Sail Otto, the other with Wine Snail Toddler). Others include...

Old Skool Rods

Rebel Rods (which, I believe John Teresi's dad is involved with)

Hot Rod

Rod & Custom

Street Rodder

Custom Classic Trucks

Vintage Truck

Rodder's Journal

Hot Rod Deluxe

Amusin Cruisin' (Spin off of Rebel Rods and recently canceled)

Jp (They're Jeep only, but they are almost as entertaining to read as the late Stuff)

And the few old 'little page' publications I have

Other than MCM, FSM, and SA, the IPMS Journal, Landline (a trucking magazine published by OOIDA) and Auto Restorer. Everything else I get off the internet, where you ALWAYS get the truth.

Mostly Rod and Custom.

I'm fortunate that every Saturday morning the locals have a get together called "Cars and Coffee" on a mall lot nearby.

I've gone down there many mornings with the model car club and just hung out taking photos.

Henderson blocks off the downtown area every September for "Super Run". It lasts all weekend and we have a model show in conjunction with the big cars.

Great for inspiration, however all I can afford are the small cars. :)

Hot Rod Delux

Muscle Car Review

I have Hot Rod starting from 1955. I gave up last year.Articles just weren't viable and they rarely finish their projects. Their findings are usually flawed as well,"this didn't work so we *** or we couldn't get a *** so we***". Who has the money to throw around like they do? Much less all the "friends" that just drop by with the missing parts you need or can't afford ?:D
