crispy Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Just completed my Tamiya Aston Martin. Particulars: Exterior: Scalefinishes.com Morning Frost White (Pearl) Interior: Floquil Tuscan, thinned and airbrushed. The rest is built right out of the box. It sits right it looks right. I cannot wait to see what else Tamiya comes up with for more AM cars. There are a few more at MY FOTKI, ASTON MARTIN Since Minnesota is having technical difficulties with the sun, those outdoor pictures will have to wait. Thanks for looking. Chris
Chuck Most Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Uh... dude? You DO know there's a separate section for 1:1 photos! Wow- all I can say is that's impressive! The DBS really looks good in white, and you did a phenomenal job on the build. Just fantastic!
robertw Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Finally able to get one of those kits last month and looking forward to building it next year. One might have thought a white DBS would look bland but yours is a killer, must have something to do with your excellent build and the inherent beauty of the car. robw
stevehansen Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Excellent job Chris, white was a good choice
Bill Eh? Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 As has already been said, excellent build! That interior colour adds a 'rich' feel to the whole build.
crispy Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 Hey guys, I really appreciate your comments. The kit builds beautifully. The only problem is that seam line on the rear quarters. take your time and block that bad boy out. Again, thanks for the boost! Chris
bigmikevee Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Hey Chris, Car looks great, white is a hard color to pull off, but you did a wonderful job, very clean model. Can't wait to see the outdoor shots. Thanks for posting. Mike

DRG Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 All I can add to what has been said is, " Atta boy " that's how you build them.

mikeD1 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Just beautiful. Fantastic paint work. looks like something for auto show!!!
charlie8575 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 That is one kit that's definitely on the "buy" list once I have some more money. There were two or three at Classic Plastic and those are very nice built up. This is an excellent build-up. Charlie Larkin
mrmike Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Excellent paint! Great job! I just got this one today at my LHS. Hope to be starting this one soon.

crispy Posted September 26, 2010 Author Posted September 26, 2010 Thanks so much for all the comments guys. I really love the Aston Martin. I find the pearl colors to be a bit more elegant for them and they fit nicely. Thanks! Chris
