juergen Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 (edited) Hi Guys ! After long time away from the forum now i have time to built my next model. I will do the AMT/ERTL 1950er Chevy 3100 Pick Up. First time i look at the rims and tires. i don´t like the original rims from the box so i do new about resin. I think now the look is better for me and i pass the parts the first time. Now i will think about the design of the pick up. Have a nice day greets juergen Edited December 30, 2010 by juergen

juergen Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Hi Guys and thanks for the positive feedback !!! my next step was the load area from the pick up. i grinded the plastic to a small and glued a wood veneer on it for a better "woodlook". after drying and painting you can see here the look: also the sides got slats about wood. many greets juergen
DRG Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 This is looking real good. I hope you don't have problems with the window glass like I did. It was way to small, fell right through.

David G. Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 J- Your paint work is excellent and I really like the stake sides you've built. I built one of these kits more than ten years ago, but I went a very different rout with mine. Here is a link to some photos in case you're interested. Regards, David G.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Looking good, I love the colors and the paint job . . . keep it going.
