Crazy Ed Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Randy, You forced me to go out and buy an:"Adventures in soldering:Hot Rod Wrecker Project update Protection Pillow" for protection from a broken Jaw as it slams onto the Floor................ Wow , insanely well done each and every time!
mopar68 Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Randy, this stuff is just ridiculous! I mean, just other-worldly skills here, I just don't know how you've done it. Seriously, how the heck did you drill holes in the linkage hardware?
Guest G Holding Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Jaw dropping !!! I think those wheels work perfect with this one, assuming a Wrecker bed out back?
southpier Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 nice. can i beg you to divulge the source of drills smaller than #80? thanks
John Teresi Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Randy........I just found the thread today........I gotta tell ya..........this is just breathtaking .........you are in a league of your own........I sure would like to advance to your level of detail someday........I am in awe.
Foxer Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 That linkage is simply amazing. HO turnbuckles ... hmmmm!
vintagedragfan Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 ever break a drill bit Randy? I bought a set of those, literally touched the smallest one and it broke off! lol............superb craftsmanship my friend!!
crazyrichard Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 thats just out of this world ..imo it would be a real shame to paint everything ..what are your plans for that ??seeing the last pics i would say keep it copper ...so nice
Pete J. Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 thats just out of this world .. imo it would be a real shame to paint everything .. what are your plans for that ?? seeing the last pics i would say keep it copper ...so nice Same here Randy. Just showing the metal work makes this a winner! Just buff it up an a thin layer of clear to keep it from tarnishing.
Chuck Doan Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 I'm glad to catch up with this one again. Quite incredible.
W-409 Posted December 7, 2012 Posted December 7, 2012 ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! You are doing fantastic job with this Wrecker Project. Your engine detailing is perfect all in all. The body is stunning too. I'm amazed, and going to pick my jaw pieces from the floor. Keep coming. It inspires me to get going again with the '64 Dodge 330 Hot Rod.
Tom Geiger Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Beyond Wow! I just went through all 21 pages. Friggin amazing work!
Randy D Posted December 8, 2012 Author Posted December 8, 2012 Thank you Brad ! Cobra Joe, Thanks! Thanks Jim! Appreciate it Derick! Ed, that's funny!!!! Hi Zac, Gotta have those tiny bits, they actually work well. Hi Greg, I too like the style of those rims. I'm trying to make some up from brass and copper. Hi Joe, Drill Bit City... These are the best bits I've found so far. I think the set of 25 bits was about $ 20.00 Pricey but if you need small holes you don't have much choice. Hi Bill, Thank you my friend! I know what you mean , they are fragile. I will say these bits from D.B.City seem to last longer. They are extremely sharp and cut thru cast brass easy. because of how well they cut I think I use less force therefore less breakage? I did say less not any at all Hi John, You are too kind , just trying to keep up with you Thank you Mike! Hi Samuel, Thank you! Hi Rich, Glad you like it! Hi Pete, Got your pm, great looking stuff!! Really nice turnings! Hi Chris, Thank you! Thanks Chuck, Always enjoy seeing what you are working on! Hi Niko, Thanks buddy! Tom, thank you! Gotta build a trailer to towlike yours! Hi Danno, Thank you my friend Randy
