Harry P. Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 How about this one? Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
highway Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 WOOHOO, FIRST IN ON THIS ONE! I guess it pays to get up early! The spokes on the wheels and the bumpers just look too real. Now watch, I've been doing good when I don't post my answer, so Harry will probably fool me Friday saying it's a large scale model!
george 53 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Rust pits look just a little TOO large for me. Imma goin with large scale MODEL!
The Creative Explorer Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 based on what I see, I think of a model
Jon Cole Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Those spokes look so fine, I guessed real. If not, then it must be a large scale
Junkman Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Double whammy! You can reuse it next week for the Auto ID quiz.
Iron Fist Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) Deceiving low angle shot, but Im going with real. Edited March 1, 2011 by Iron Fist
The Creative Explorer Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Double whammy! You can reuse it next week for the Auto ID quiz. Naah, too easy.
Danno Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 The background clearly indicates it is a model on a tabletop ... ... which means it is real and photoshop ... ... was employed to give us a conipition fit ... ... by implying this real car is a kit.
Junkman Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Naah, too easy. For you maybe. I haven't got a clue, apart from that it is Farina bodied.
Ryan S. Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Something about the back ground screams model to me. Just doesn't look right.
Harry P. Posted March 4, 2011 Author Posted March 4, 2011 Pretty close vote: 25 REAL, 33 MODEL. It's a MODEL! 1/8 scale, scratchbuilt (not a kit).
george 53 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Something about the back ground screams model to me. Just doesn't look right. When you look REAL hard, the 2x4's in the background shelf unit are just TOO out of scale with the car. At least that was one of my reasons for goin with model. Harry's SHARP, so you gotta look at EVERYTHING, NOT just the car itself.
Pete J. Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Pretty close vote: 25 REAL, 33 MODEL. It's a MODEL! 1/8 scale, scratchbuilt (not a kit). So that would make it an under the bed find instead of a barn find, eh?
highway Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Now watch, I've been doing good when I don't post my answer, so Harry will probably fool me Friday saying it's a large scale model! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! I'm going back to keeping my mouth shut!
