Space Cowboy Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Hey I got a lot done..I am using the windshield from AMTs 57 T-Bird and i cut down the hood from the 62 T-Bird.... More coming soon..................
Peter Lombardo Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Great idea....this looks really cool. I want to see this one when it is done....it should look fantastic. That T-Bird tonneau cover sure gets lots of uses outside of T-Birds. Very cool.
whale392 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I am REALLY liking the look of this car! The overall use of Ford/Factory parts to do this makes it even better in my book. Your choice in rolling stock will go wonderfully with the mods/bodyline of this car. One question, are you going to shoot the exterior in that Burgundy you have the dash shot in? If so, this will be a sweet looking ride all shined up!
mikelo Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Very nice! I am a fan of using parts from other cars of the same make. I think the hood is a good fit. Be sure to keep us posted. Mike
george 53 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 How VERY NICE already!!!! You gotta GREAT eye for flowing lines! This is gonna be SHARP. A NICE old school lookin custom, buildin it outta wats layin around and FITTING with the lines and final ideas of it. Man I LIKE this, your doin GREAT! :D
Space Cowboy Posted March 10, 2011 Author Posted March 10, 2011 Got it primered.................. Hope to get some color on it soon....................
my80malibu Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 That is going to be really sharp. Nice work with the modifications you have done.
Lunajammer Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I sure like what you're doing here. I especially like your side trim treatment... well all of it really. One thing has me scratching my head that seemed less pronounced until you primered it. Without the top, the body behind the doors seems a little long. If one was so inclined, would there be any merit to shortening the rear end a tad behind the wheels? Especially if the large stock bumper goes on. Just thinking out loud. I love your project.
Carmikeman Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 i like it. 57's are one of my favorites. cool idea.
Erik Smith Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Looking cool. You must use up a lot of sandpaper.
Space Cowboy Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 Got it painted the colors are Black on the bottom and Nickle on top..It still needs clearcoat...... More coming soon.....................
Carmikeman Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 (edited) i wanna drive it first, when your done with it! can i can i can i? Edited March 12, 2011 by Carmikeman
crazyjim Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 How did I miss this cool looking build? I like it. Somebody ought to make that T-Bird tonneau in resin.
old-hermit Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Ya never cease to amaze me with your builds Bruce. VERY nice mods & I love the color combo.
Space Cowboy Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 Thanks guys for those nice words.....Got it clear coated.................. More coming soon...................
Modlbldr Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Bruce- This thing is turning out sweet. The color combo really suits the lines of the build. And I really like the use of that T-bird hood! Another beautiful job. Later-
redknight Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 That's looking great! I really like the color combo.
BigEdsGarage Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I really like the way you executed the integration of the T Bird pieces onto the 57. It looks like it could have been an actual vehicle that Ford built. Great job!
