I Stayed up last night and finished this two year long project. I leave tomorrow for the VCCA Anniversary/Chevrolet 100th show in Flint. Here's the results. It looks really green in the pictures, but is not so bright in person.

Bruce,

I've enjoyed watching this come along, and I must say, the results are spectacular.

This is a very nice build. Perhaps a couple of outdoors pictures to better show the color might be a good idea?

I don't know how accurate the green shows in the photos, but it sure looks good to me! Very nice all the way around... the attention to detail is obvious! B)

That is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) '50 Chevies I've ever seen! Great work all the way around!

Thanks for the comments, guys... I'll get some outdoor pictures next week. I have finished painting the top boot cover, and BMFed the rad cap. Jon, I do own the real deal as well. It is in my profile pic. Dad found it in 1972, and has passed it down to me.

Nice work. The car has the look of realism that every modeler should strive for. It's begging for a photo shoot with a good back drop.

Love the color, even if it is a little less bright in person, and the subtle but nicely done changes to convert it to a '50 model. Just plain yummy!

Nice job on the ol' Chevy! I like the real one too! BTW, this is the first car model I have seen that shows the wiper'ed windshield - and I really like the effect; adds realism and it takes the plasticky look out of it. This was a fairly common thing back then before the days of wiper washer systems. Dirt is an effective abrasive!

Have fun in Flint!
