Chuck Most Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I know the thread is called What's your 1:1 CAR... but since so many others have shown off their trucks, here's mine- '94 Ford F-250 XLT, 5.8, AOD, two-wheel drive. Runs and drives fantastic but it sure loves keeping those dual fuel tanks empty! Other than a K&N filter, Optima battery, Pioneer CD player, and a few assorted dings and dents, it's just as it came from the factory. '81 Ford F-250, 351, 4-speed, four wheel drive, and a TON of bits and pieces from other F-series trucks. It originally had a 300 six, and the grille came off an '86. the original grille got damaged, then the '86 replacement grille got damaged, so I don't know if I want to put another grille on it if something bad happens again. It's due for a bed replacement- not sure if it'll end up with a flat stake bed or if I'll try talking a buddy out of the 9' Reading service body he has taking up space in his shed.
sports850 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Well mine are the other end of the scale from the above Every day car is a 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer , nice and shiny here as it was being detailed before I picked it up , and how it looked last weekend after having to go bush on forestry roads to bypass where the highway was blocked by an accident (goes great on slippery clay too ...) , Now the toys , 1962 Mini Sports850 , 1968 Mini van , 1981 Mini Moke Californian (1275cc engine , same as a Mini Cooper s but in a lighter body ...) 1971 Nota Fang , Mini based sports car with complete mini front subframe/motor/gearbox unit mounted behind the driver . This can be road registered and is a long term project , just waiting for the property settlement from divorce so I can extend the garage and get back into this one. 1970 Mini K shell , this one left the factory in December 1970 , same month/year I was born so it was going to be my 40th birthday project . Separation/Divorce got in the way so it might be 45th or 50th project at this rate ... Group photo of Sports850 , Fang and Van , I have a Monte Carlo Rally style roof rack (same as in the Tamiya mini rally version) and some old rally tyres to go on it so it will eventually be a ficticous rally support mini .
von Zipper Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 This is my 2003 F 250, 5.4 L w/6speed stick 43,000 pampered miles. Bought it new in May of '03 paid it off in May of '08 and as soon as it was paid off I bought this 2008 New Holland tractor in May of 2008-Just made my last payment and this will be the first time in 9 years I don't have a payment........now I want to sell them both and buy a motorhome
von Zipper Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Another part of my "motorhome plan"- I just sold my 1963 Plymouth Valiant convertible that had been parked since 1985 and had 72,000 miles.
Beerman86GT Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 My toy, owned by my wifes grandfather until he passed in 2001, then her dad got it for a while, then we took ownership in 2009. DD is an '09 Accord.
Chuck Kourouklis Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Now THAT is a pretty FOX. Styling-wise, the '85-'86 models were my absolute favorites of those cars.
FordRodnKustom Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 My toy, owned by my wifes grandfather until he passed in 2001, then her dad got it for a while, then we took ownership in 2009. DD is an '09 Accord. NICE!
Chuck Most Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Oh,yes. The best of the Fox-era Mustangs were of the four-eye persuasion.
Beerman86GT Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Wow, thanks guys, did not realize she had gotten this much attention since I posted it up! She's got an Explorer intake, Mass Air Conversion 65mm TB, BBK Cold Air, 2 1/2 Stainless exhaust with 40 series flow masters. Has not moved that much this year though.
Jantrix Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) The wife drives an 01 Dakota Quad Cab and I drive an 05 PT Cruiser. Edited May 31, 2012 by Jantrix
Scale-Master Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I bought this 2008 New Holland tractor in May of 2008-Just made my last payment and this will be the first time in 9 years I don't have a payment........now I want to sell them both and buy a motorhome How much for the tractor? I bet I can mow my yard in less than 7 minutes with it. And get rid of those pesky planters I have to edge around...
JamesW Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 How much for the tractor? I bet I can mow my yard in less than 7 minutes with it. And get rid of those pesky planters I have to edge around... Heck, I could mow mine in less that 2 minutes with that, AND level the house too. LOL
von Zipper Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 http://www.machinefinder.com/ww/en-US/machine/2008-new-holland-t2320-tractor-2050927 How much for the tractor? This one in the ad is exactly like mine, that one has 300 hours on it and mine just turned 200 hours, I also have a set of pallet forks -you can change it from the bucket to the forks in about 5 minutes. I've changed the oil every 50 hours-used it but never abused it.
Junkman Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Got this for the wifey - for 220 quid: Don't laugh. It may not look like much, but when the French stick a GTX badge on something, they put it inside, too. The thing goes like stink!
Harry P. Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Got this for the wifey - for 220 quid: Would that be 220 Pounds? Why so cheap?
Junkman Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Would that be 220 Pounds? Why so cheap? I have no idea. Nobody else bid on it on Ebay. I drove it home all the way from Bristol (170mi) - the car didn't miss a beat. Had it MOTed the next day - no advisories, nothing. It does need new front tyres though.
Junkman Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) Wow, what a nice find! Thanks! I like it too, and it's fully loaded, including A/C. We needed something to cope with almost $7.65/US-Gallon, so I thought this makes perfect sense. Edited June 1, 2012 by Junkman
martinfan5 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 (edited) Would that be 220 Pounds? Why so cheap? Yep that is pounds, my understanding is quid is slang for pound, I could be wrong though. $337 for it is not bad , I dont think you could find car as nice as that one for that price here . Edited June 1, 2012 by martinfan5
Junkman Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I think I just was lucky for a change. The car was listed for 220 pounds, which is roughly what you'd get from the scrapyard if you weigh it in. But nobody except me bid on it, and there was no reserve.
slownlow Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Here's my 1967 BMW R60/2. She's why there's a hold on my 1:25 projects right now.
