58 Impala Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Go Giants, they played one hell of a game. To all the 49er fans out there, never say never. No guarantee that either team will win. GB was 15and1. It's going to be a good game next weak.
Terry Sumner Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Hey Harry, about those Giants Huh!! Thank you Eli,now I get to see the 49ers take care of the Giants and meet Baltimore in the Super Bowl.It will be an all Harbaugh affair, which makes for good TV,I'm just saying. I don't think so George. Patriots vs Giants in Superbowl with the Pats exacting revenge for the loss a couple of years ago! Yep..you heard it here first!
FASTBACK340 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) While I don't follow Football, I do have an arrogant, obnoxious, condescending co-worker whom was running his Packer's-loving mouth all season. Tomorrow all the Giant's fans I work with are going to use him as a chew-toy. Should be a good day tomorrow.... Edited January 16, 2012 by FASTBACK340
FASTBACK340 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Update game over  NY 37 GREEN BAY 30 BETTER LUCJ NEXT YEAR PACKERS. 37-TWENTY....
Joe Handley Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) The first thing that crossed my mind when I heard about Green Bay's slaughter.......................................... Edited January 16, 2012 by Joe Handley
Harry P. Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Aaron Rodgers has got to be kicking himself right now. What a time for the best QB in the league to choke! Oh well... at least one of the Manning boys had a good season!
mikemodeler Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Aaron Rodgers has got to be kicking himself right now. What a time for the best QB in the league to choke! Oh well... at least one of the Manning boys had a good season! Harry, Aaron Rodgers did not drop those 6 or 7 passes...he didn't fumble the ball 4 times and he doesn't play defense either. I am not a Packer fan but that whole team played badly for 60 minutes, that is how you lose a game. He will get asked about the loss and will take some of the blame but it doesn't all fall on him. They were playing with heavy hearts after their offensive coordinator's son died tragically earlier in the week and they had coasted since Christmas. The team that won today was the one that showed up and had something to prove.
Harry P. Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Rodgers wasn't his usual brilliant self tonite. If there was ever a time to kick your game up a notch, it was this game... but he was just ok. Not terrible, and yeah, the QB doesn't drop passes. But when your QB is also your leading rusher, there's a problem right there. It has to be a real letdown for GB... going 15-1 in the regular season and then getting knocked out of the playoffs. Not only losing at home, but basically getting their butts kicked. And the Saints are also out of it. Both of the Super Bowl favorites bit the dust. That's the way it goes sometimes...
Harry P. Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 AND THE LIONS STILL SUCK!!!!!!! Not so much! Their arrow is definitely pointing up, to borrow a cliché. A young team with a bright future. I see the Lions being in contention next season.

Qwit Pushin Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Aaron Rodgers has got to be kicking himself right now. What a time for the best QB in the league to choke! Oh well... at least one of the Manning boys had a good season! Sorry, but this one's NOT on Aaron, this one's on the receivers. How many well-thrown balls ended up as dropped balls? Announcers conceded as many as 8 by half-time. One of them would have been a touchdown and another would have put them in side the 10. I think the GB receiving core would tell you the same. Not saying Aaron was his usual 'lights out' self, but by no means was he solely responsible for this loss. Pack will be back next year!!!
Guest Johnny Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Harry get it right! He didn't choke his recievers and the coaches unexpainable play calls let him down! But then what should we expect out of a Chicago Bears fan!
Ramfins59 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I'm a transplanted New Yorker from Long Island........ WoooHooo.... the Giants won....!!! Now that I'm living just north of Pittsburgh.... Too bad the Steelers lost, but.... oh well.... After all... It's only a game right...??? Wouldn't it be nice if we all made the kind of $$$$$$$ that those guys get for playing a game...??

Jantrix Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 All I can say say is that I'm real glad I didn't place any bets this weekend. I was only 1 for 4 in my picks.
Peter Lombardo Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Most of you guys are as bad as those "bias" announcers on FOX. Most of you, and certainly them, have been complaining about how the Packers did not play as well as they should have. When the Giants scored, or recovered a fumble, Joe Buck and Troy said that it was a bad break for the Packers, or that a player on the Packers missed an assignment. Even after the Giants beat the Packers pretty handlely, it is being said that the Packers lost it, Rogers had a bad game or the receivers dropped the ball. Guys, it was pretty clear to me that the Giants beat the Packers. The Giants deserve the credit. They played one heck of a game......give credit where credit is due, and maybe it is time think of Manning, yes the "little" Manning as the elite quarterback that he has become. As many have said in sports, all team sports, "you need to peak at the right time".....the Giants are peaking in the playoffs....I would say that is the right time. I am not a huge football fan by any stretch of the imagination, but the Giants are the "home" team for me, and they won last night and I do not see anyone giving them the respect they earned. P.S. Seriously, I am sick and tired of that little jerk, Joe Buck, always calling games against the NY teams....he clearly hates the Yankees and the Giants. Glad to see he had the game last night ramed up his backside. (Of course, that is just my opinion and I could be wrong)...but regardless, I watch the New York games (baseball and football) with the sound off when he is calling it.

Too bad the Steelers lost, but.... oh well.... After all... It's only a game right...??? Wouldn't it be nice if we all made the kind of $$$$$$$ that those guys get for playing a game...?? Well. If what we did for a living generated that kind of revenue, we probably would. I'm so glad the Packers lost ... and I hate the Giants. Other than the fact that my Skins beat them twice, I'm not sure why anyone is surprised the Giants won. They had won 3 in a row by 15 or more and all those easy wins the Packers had 2-3 months ago don't mean a thing.
deja-view Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) If the Lingerie football league counts then yes I am a fan If it dosent count GO GIANTS Lingerie League rocks. Those girls are talented, tough, and really pound each other. You think the NFL primadonnas would go out there in their underwear and hit like that? Not a chance. Seriously, people gotta lighten up on Tebow. He's a good guy thrust into a tough spot...doing his best. But even if he ground out 40 points a game it doesn't do any good if the defense gives up 40+++. Look at Smith from the Niners. He was a great college QB, floundered under poor coaching his first few years, and now is looking pretty good. Oh, geez. Almost lost my breakfast. Harry Reid is on the tube complaining about the Tea Party and the GOP. Gotta run to the bathroom. Urk! Edited January 16, 2012 by deja-view
bandit1 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Pittsburgh steelers fan here!....even though tebow beat em last week then turned around and got whooped by brady ....im sure steelers would have whooped brady thermselves if they actually played the broncos game!....but im going to root for NY GIANTS...my granddad on my mothers side was a big GIANTS fan!
