Take a Monogram '59 Chevrolet Corvette #2379, Model Masters Prowler Purple paint, a set of Fred Cady decals and a few modifications...this is what you come up with.

A model of the 1959 Purple People Eater MK III Corvette Jim Jeffords raced in 1959.

He won every SCCA B-Production race he entered that year except the last one.

Well done!! Accurate Miniatures planned on doing that car at one time. I did research and the decal artwork for the kit....but AM had issues and folded before it happened.

Very cool looking. I am not a vette guy what so ever so seeing a race version versus the typical stock one is really refreshing. Great work

Great Corvette. I like seeing these old Race cars being built too and this looks amazing. Paintjob looks good, and detailing is great all over. :D

Nice work, my old friend!! It makes me wish that I had kept my Danbury Mint model of this car...

I hope that you're doing well after your surgery!!

Take care and I hope to see you feeling better soon!!

Great job Curt. I have always wanted to build this car. What color/paint did you use?

Len

I used Model Masters Prowler Purple 2 part lacquer rattle can followed with Model Master Ultra Gloss Clearcoat

Johnston from Scalefinishes thought it to be a perfect match...

thanx

Curt
