MikeMc Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 (edited) SMOOTH.....just like Keith Stone..... Did you want a taildragger...? I dropped mine so the rockers were level...minor cutting needed Edited March 17, 2012 by MikeMc
roadhawg Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 ..... Did you want a taildragger...? Yep, I was trying for the taildragger look, but that was as low as I could get it without reworking the chassis, exhaust, floor pan....you know, minor stuff that I just didn't have the ambition for, lol. Tommy, Another beautiful job!! I want to get together some day and bench race... Anytime, Glenn....call me, you got my number!
MikeMc Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I think your right Tommy.....BUT it sure does look great!! Mine has the rear end just about touching the frame and I'm just starting the pipes.
rmvw guy Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Beautiful! I saw where someone used smaller tires in the rear to get it to the ground since they won't show anyway.
fastram Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Beautiful job, I think the stance looks great. Nice choice on the motor, look good too!
Joker Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 That's Gangster Tommy You nailed the interior color combo. I added lakers on mine to give the "semblance" of lowering even more. pix by G.H. James aka Joker
David G. Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Smoooth and deadly! Great job- excellent paint. David G.

roadhawg Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks again, everybody! I added lakers on mine to give the "semblance" of lowering even more. Thats great!! I wish I had thought of that....you even got me thinking about redoing mine! Lol.
CEKPETHO BCE Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Excellent model. Would you happen to know the name of the color?
roadhawg Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Excellent model. Would you happen to know the name of the color? Thank you, and yes I do. It's called "Red Jewel Tintcoat" for a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. I think its supposed to be applied over a special basecoat because it's very translucent, almost like a candy, but I just sprayed it over white primer.
george 53 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 It came out real nice,Tommy. Closer to what I remember cruisein around in the 'hood.
geetee66 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 Man, that gloss is a MILE deep! This ticks all the boxes for me. Sweeter than a sugar cube dipped in honey!
Raul_Perez Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Very nicely done!! I really like the color combination and the paint work is VERY well done! I may have to pick up one of these kits and see what I can do with it... Thanks for sharing!!
