bbowser Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Started the first of the year, finally finished it last night. OOB, only foiling added. Foiling was a bear around the side glass but otherwise this was a great kit to build. Thanks to Chuck Most for his building tips. My only gripe was I wish there was a more positive mounting scheme for the hood ornament. That was a nail biter! Thanks for looking!
Big Daddy Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Looks great, i like the color i used the same maybe a bit darker in my build , i love this kit
Chuck Most Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Very nice! Glad I could help you out in some small way with the project.

Lunajammer Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 It's a beauty alright. Since everyone loves the color, could you tell me what color and paint brand? Thanks.
bbowser Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 Thanks everyone. Mike, it's Rustoleum 'Painters Touch' gloss Sage Green, with an Ivory top. I rattle can everything since I don't own an AB. I'm always prowling the hardware stores and Wallyworld for new colors. There is a surprising amount of choices on the shelves.
bsoder Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor !..beautiful job man B)
Harry P. Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have to say I love the color combo! I used the exact same Rustoleum Sage Green/Ivory paint on my Pocher Alfa:
mikemodeler Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 While I have not built or bought any Hudsons, the builds that have been displayed here have been very nice. I admire the hard work foiling those cars, probably why I haven't jumped in to build one! Mike
realgone58 Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 Awesome! Right on with the colors! Foil work is beautiful. You have more patience than I do.
Kanedge Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 I'm thinking I might have to get one of these Hornets after seeing all these great builds. Very nice colour. Sweet.
David G. Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 The color combination looks perfect for the time period. Everything else looks great too! David G.
bbowser Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have to say I love the color combo! I used the exact same Rustoleum Sage Green/Ivory paint on my Pocher Alfa: Sweet build Harry. Those colors look just right!
