rmvw guy Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I had a can of '50s pink and my first Hudson so, what the heck. The hudson dealer had this painted for his wife, so started the new fad in the '50s and the rest is history.
Nick Winter Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 The pink looks pretty fitting on the Hudson. Nick
Dr. Cranky Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 ABSOLUTELY CLASSY AND SMOOTH. And yes, the pink fits it just right. I like it. Thanks for sharing.
GeeBee Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Very nice ... the pink really does suit the Hudson,
mr moto Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 That looks great!!! You couldn't have done better if you had wanted to paint it that color.
Jantrix Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Hey, of the build ups I have seen of that kits so far, I like this color combo the best. Oddly enough.
Tom Kren Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 oh ###### was going to do mine in pink oh well looks great!
kruleworld Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 'tis a very nice hudson, even if it's pink. Very nice ... the pink really does suit the Hudson, yeah, funny how pastels were so popular then.
justin2020 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Beautiful! Porky would be jealous! Great build! Great movie!
Grumpa Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Nice build Ron! I agree that the pink looks great! Love the interior. This is vintage '50's Mary Kay...in the days before the " Pink Caddy"!
Dave Van Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 WOW WOW!! Great work! How did you do your chrome/stainless trim????
Terry Jessee Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Let's see--a Motor City Resin Casters four door conversion and a can of pink paint.... Hmmm--Hey, Dave Van, there's another movie car! Terry
rmvw guy Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 WOW WOW!! Great work! How did you do your chrome/stainless trim???? Thanks, The stainless trim was all done with Testors silver chrome and gloss clear. I'm not good with BMF.
rmvw guy Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I originally wanted to paint this blue like the box art but, felt like the color was already taken. If you want to use pink feel free to do so, it is Testors fifties pink. I like the "Porkies" idea!
Deathgoblin Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Beautiful! Porky would be jealous! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of that. Stunning model. Your work is awesome!
mikelo Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I think the pink looks great. I don't know when I would be able to around to mine, but maybe that pink could find it's way onto another build. Looks great & thanks for sharing! Mike
