SQFin Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 This is actually the second model kit I finished after my 15 year break from modelling. I's a Revell "Special Edition" kit, with rear tires from AMT 70 1/2 Baldwin Motion Camaro. Engine wired and plumbed + throttle linkage from MCG. MCG seatbelt clips and seat belts made from Tamiya masking tape. Sorry about the color. British racing green...
mikemodeler Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Very clean and nicely detailed. I "get it" about the paint but that is close to a factory color. Well done, and keep them coming.
Jantrix Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Nicely done. I'm not wild about that color, but hey it's your model and you did it well.
Terry Sumner Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Very nice indeed! Nice detailing in the dashboard too!
Dr. Cranky Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Wonderful model, great details. Looks very beefy with that hood.
Badluck 13 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Great detail on this lil' Nova!!!!,color looks great and very clean wheel choice.
MyBradKeselowski Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Excellent Nova, really like those details...
sjordan2 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Wow, that's outstanding in every detail. And your first after a 15-year break? Double wow.
W-Machine Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Very clean looking build, and nicely detailed. Thumbs up.
Burnout Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Really nice work Osku! I like it. I like your Dart too! Keep 'em coming.
TooOld Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Unusual color , but you more than made up for it with the detailing of this super looking Nova ! You haven't lost your touch .
charlie8575 Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Another well-done model. I love what's been showing up around here lately! Charlie Larkin
SQFin Posted May 21, 2012 Author Posted May 21, 2012 (edited) Thanks again everyone! Nova actually isn't that shiny in real life. Which is good imo, since I think too much shine is not realistic. What is the perfect scale-shine? I'm still working with my techniques to create a decent rusty-look, but I have not succeeded yet. It's so much easier to do the shiny one... I'll keep paarctising and hopefully some day end up with something i can post here. Edited May 21, 2012 by SQFin
sak Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 I love the color. If I make a critisism, it would be lacl of flocking inside but the awesomeness of the exterior makes up for it
Webb Posted May 21, 2012 Posted May 21, 2012 Outstanding! Especially the engine compartment. Maybe I should take a fifteen year break to see if mine come out like that. Oh wait, that would make me 70. Probably won't be able to see well enough! Chris
