tooltas Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 is that the 72 that's come out ? or 68 line 6 or 390 v8
mk11 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Sounded to me like the '71 longbox gets the 360/390 and the '69 shortbox gets the six. mike
Eshaver Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) I would love to see them do a 50s era Studebaker truck. SO WOULD I Sargent Clay , so would I !!!!!!!!!!!! Edited September 12, 2013 by Eshaver
thatz4u Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Moebius is taking preorders on the 71 Ford pickup on their website.
Fabrux Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 They have it listed with an MSRP of $34.99, $5 more than the Chrysler 300B; interesting. Maybe multiple building options?
Luc Janssens Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Hopefully they show test shots and a build-up at I-Hobby (or sooner)
Rob Hall Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Hopefully they show test shots and a build-up at I-Hobby (or sooner) Good point..iHobby Expo is around a month from now?
Casey Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Good point..iHobby Expo is around a month from now? Yep, and Toledo NNL the weekend before, I think?
niteowl7710 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Yep, and Toledo NNL the weekend before, I think? Correct to both yourself and Rob. It's almost time to start reckless speculation about the next batch of new kits, when we haven't even gotten all of the last batch of reckless speculated upon kits yet
Austin T Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 It's almost time to start reckless speculation about the next batch of new kits, when we haven't even gotten all of the last batch of reckless speculated upon kits yet That is one of the funniest model related things I have heard in a while.
1930fordpickup Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) I can not wait for the Toledo NNL ,October 5th . My wallet may need to sit in the cooler on the way there . I think we are in for a ton of different truck versions with this tooling. Nothing but good things for all. With some minor mods or additions- 1/2 ton 3/4 ton 4x4 truck tow truck brush fire truck rescue truck utility bed Just a few that could be use on this truck and others they would choose to make. mk11 Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) And from the aftermarket, a resin crew cab and maybe some photo etched Mercury nameplates/letters would be nice, too.. mike Edited September 15, 2013 by mk11

If Moebius does not offer a 4x4 version, I am sure there will be someone who comes up with a resin conversion kit. I have an extra Midnite Cowboy bed to do a tow truck and Modelhaus has the utility bed. I also have one of the Model King re-issues of the camper & ramp bed kits so besides building a couple of pickup versions of this kit, I am set for 4 more variations!
tooltas Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 don't fell bad I got two in mine too a nice jackup 4wd and cool slamed 2wd street truck
mikemodeler Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I just was on the Tower Hobbies website www.plastic-models.com and they now show a February availability date, kinda bummed! Sure hope they are wrong and we see these sooner than that!
Thatswhatshesaid Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Must be that PJ Toys, he wants $39.99 for a 1/25 roll bar. If you read his mile long description with the 40,000 exclamation points you will notice that the prices are justified because he is providing the service of sorting through hundreds of model boxes to find these parts for you. He's doing all the hard work so apparently its a good deal overall because you don't have to do the leg work. Oh and he doesn't combine shipping. So your $39.99 roll bar and $34.99 bumper will cost you two shipping charges.

SteveG Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 Here's some prototype mock ups of the 71 Ford Pickup..... ....... still a work in progress per Dave
Terryk2003 Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Any info on the '69 F-100 that Mobious was supposed to be coming out with in addition to the '71? Also, since the '71 is a "work in progress" still, any new info on release date? Man, I almost went to Toledo today but it was late in the afternoon and I didn't wanna drive all the way there and be short on time...guess I'll plan on attending next year with some builds! Thanks for the info and pics guys!
Fabrux Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 The were apparently test shots at the iHobby show but no updates on release date that I've seen so far.
matador88 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 ouch, that price with international shipping - its gonna be pretty expensive for oversea modelers
Casey Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 ouch, that price with international shipping - its gonna be pretty expensive for oversea modelers Can't help on the International Shipping, but for a kit which has correct and full inner non-Flareside bed detail (for the first time ever?) I think an MSRP of $34.99 is just about perfect for an all-new kit, and I'm sure some places will sell it for a few dollars less than MSRP. Wait another year or so after the kit has been released and you'll likely find it for even less.
martinfan5 Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 You should see the price that its being listed for at HLJ https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151740674533876&set=a.10151025281273876.420359.743098875&type=3&theater For those that dont want to click, its listed at $51.18
