slusher Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Didn't get this today. Just wanted to show what a 24 hour bath in Super Clean can do. I was a bit concerned about removing this paint, but the purple stuff came through again! Great score Steve. You really pick up some nice classics..

StevenGuthmiller Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Wow Ray! Did you win the lottery?! An unbuilt '67 Bonneville alone could bring a couple hundred, or more by itself on ebay! Steve
Helix Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Cheers guys! Steve, no I didn't win the lottery mate, this was through a friend on Facebook and these kits were from a deceased estate here in Adelaide. it was an opportunity I could not refuse regardless of how much it was going to cost me, the kits were reasonably priced and what to expect for their age. My intentions are of course to build them all after I have offloaded some of my collection!! Ray.

I would venture to guess that if these are unmolested kits, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get as much as $1,500.00 for the lot. Possibly much more! Nice score Ray!! Steve
Mikevango Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I got a new aluminum pin vise and 12 bits today from hobbylobby. I used the 40% of code for the first time. $11.00ish. It's much nice than the heavy steel one I had and I like the collet better.
unclescott58 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Today I got another cool kit from Tokyo-Hobby, Fujimi's Porsche 917K '70 Le Mans Gulf color. Also, the day before yesterday I got the decals I needed to convert my MPC '73 Chevy Caprice into a RCMP car. Scott

ChrisBcritter Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 (edited) Baby got new shoes! And a bath. This is the '61 Falcon I posted a little while back - just got a full set of NOS AMT compact tires and open wheels from a '63 Fairlane (which need to be modded to four-lug or get hubcaps), and stripped off a whole bunch of white paint, followed by some more stubborn blue paint. Thinking of deleting the side trim to backdate it to '60 since I have the grille. As I got it: Edited February 20, 2015 by ChrisBcritter
