Fresh from the post-office (from ebay Austria):

For those who are interested in the BMW M1 ProCar (1979 series winner: Niki Lauda) - this has also the Marlboro decals included for the "tobacco version" according to the instructions which show also a "non-tobacco version" like the box top picture (with accordingly different masking template for the front hood):

Complete and not showing any tire damage.

Nice score!

The last few days I've been indulging in acquiring more Mustang and Trans Am kits, specifically '80s Monogram kits.

The Revell '82 Mustang convertible is one I've never had before, same with the racing Mustang.

Got 3 of the new Revell '71s.  One to do stock, one to do '70s style day 2 street machine, one to do in modern Pro Touring style.

The '79 Cobra and 89 Mustang convertible I built as a kid, but wanted fresh ones to build again. There is an empty '89 box in there, to replace the one for the kit I built originally, the original box got destroyed over the years. I have the MPC '79 IPC, but not the Monogram one.

As far as the 3 Trans Ams, I have and built the '82 and '89 20th Anniversary kits, but never had the '83, '85 and '87 (all molded in black).

The 80s were my most productive period of kit building, go to get back to building and finishing....love the cars of that decade.

My wife and I went into town for lunch and hit a couple of the local junk shops.  Wasn’t expecting to find anything because I rarely do locally.  Found these in two locations.  I’ve never even heard of the Pro-Am Leasing Camaro before.

Also, mail call today.  I ordered this stuff because hey, I want my nails to look pretty when I’m at the bench!?

Got my order from Texas 3D customs. 5 sets of the Super swamper Boggers and some Center Line Baja bug wheels and modern winch bumpers. The tires seemed a little tacky so I'll let them Gass off a few days before I give them the wethering treatment. 20230722_190939.thumb.jpg.b0f1ebb67b6956b4a1fe0745fa14bf64.jpg

Also, Got the Tutlewax van last week (got a vintage grill coming) and the AMT Peterbuilt 377 A/E just now from eBay. Seller offered me a discount, so I took it. The Tooling is borrowed from the old Italari kits, so these are pretty nick.

Went to Robbie's Hobbies today and picked up a couple of kits.  Got a Revell Snap-Tite 1992 Chevy Caprice Taxi/Fire Chief car and a Revellogram Pro-Builder 1941 Ford Deluxe convertible.  Both were sealed and shrink-wrapped, the box was a little crunched on one end of the Ford, but no damage to the kit.  :)

So, they finally got the Revell 71 Mustang at my LHS, but, I ended up with the last one and the box is a bit banged up, but luckily the kit is fine.

I stopped by Michaels last Saturday and picked up Revell's 1966 Impala SS.  Nice kit.  I was surprised they had it in stock.  The previous couple of months the shelves were getting pretty bare in the model kit section.  I thought that perhaps they were phasing out the model kit section.  In the last week they fully stocked up the model kit section and Testors paints.  I took a picture of the kit in the Michaels parking lot on the hood of my 2014 Impala.  I plan on painting it white like my 2014 Impala.

Man, that's the best junk shop haul I've ever seen!

I couldn't resist the impulse to grab one of these 1/12 Bugatti  kits from Amazon. Even shipped internationally It was almost $100 less than a lot of the shops are carrying it for.  It was just about the cost of 4 1/25 kits at full retail, but it'll keep me busy for a long time. I like it so much that I immediately ordered the Alfa 8C 2300 Monza kit. :)  I probably won't be happy until I have all their vintage racers. *sigh*

It's too bad Micheal's doesn't do more with their on-line model selection.

Stopped off at HL (40% off week) this morning and picked up a few kits for some projects I have on the back burner.  Need some parts on both. My vintage Dodge van grill was in the mailbox this morning along with some bucket seats from ebay. Even stopped by the barbershop and got in a fresh haircut.

Out of curiosity can the early grill be made to fit the 82 van? If so, I'm on board!

It looks like I can get it to work with a couple of Styrene strips and some fancy footwork (body work). Gotta go with the vintage look.

Interesting! It will definitely improve the appearance from the front. Thanks for the pics.

So, you didn't know the whole front end including the fenders and hood were completely different, not just the grille and bumper, Mike?

I seen your post about getting an older grille for it and wondered about that as the grille in the kit was the same as the first year of the makeover.

Thought you might have found a single headlight base model grille for it.
