What makes this an Z28 E? Not familiar with the E part.

vintage 1985 MONOGRAM “Z-28 E CAMARO” SNAP-TITE 1:24 MODEL KIT car COMPLETED wow - Picture 1 of 9

I am fairly sure what makes them an "E" or European export is the 2.8/3.1/3.8 V6 was the only engine option, no V8. It would have had left hand rule of the road headlamps, fender turn signals, rear for lamps, amber rear turn signals, wider opening for rear plate, and so on to meet European laws.

Walking through local Walsmart is hit or miss, but in a full display in action alley by the toy dept, I found gold. At least three I did not have. This F-150 almost jumped out at me and begging me to adopt it. So, I did.

I am smelling Baja prerunner in its future.

These were $18 on Amazon prime this past week, so I grabbed one:

And they had these at $14…I’ve had a build in mind for one of these for a while so I grabbed that too:

And Michael’s got a kit restock AND had a 40%-off voucher AND they sent me a $5 coupon so this followed me home for somewhere around $10:

So today I got to do a bit of shopping.

The dodge's, the Pontiac, the S-10, the Nissan, primer, and leveling and 2 diplay cases came from my VERY local LHS, the one that is closing, got things at 20% off, and I love the break, but hate knowing he's retiring in march, but so happy he's retiring!

The Z-28 was an Ollie's find.

The Porsche and Skyline, and 2 clears, blue, white and black are all from my other LHS in Tulsa.

I really wanted to spend more at Very local LHS, but today I was super limited.  Really wanted 2 more of the S-10 :D and the last Pontiac he had in stock.

Great haul gives you a reason to check your local hobby shop out again later.".

When working out of town I always hit up the local Walmart, mainly looking for HotWheels. I stopped at the one in Athens Tennessee today and looked at hot wheels. Didn’t find anything that I wanted so as I turned around to leave there they were on an end cap behind me.

The Camaro was $11, Demon was $15, Coronet Vert was $17 so I doubled down and got 6 kits out the door for basically $15.83 each.

they must be getting ready for Christmas models….

Yeah, and I will, may not have as much extra to spend there, but I will keep supporting him.  I still hold out hope he gets a buyer for it.

I too got a visit from the Hobby Design/Alpha Model fairy. Decals are for the W Racing Team (Team WRT) BMW M4 GT3s driven by Rossi (and teammates) at the 2024 24hr of Spa and 24hr of Le Mans.

Picked these up yesterday from a marketplace purchase. Two of Johan's have the "gold cup" in the boxes, are these cups desirable?

Got this from Wes ... was the last bit of model spending money.

Gonna do the 3 Chevy's box stock, the Catalina I have a plan for, and same with the Ventura.

I got these Wednesday.

Nice haul! What's the difference between the Ventura & Catalina? Is it trim levels, they appear to be similar?

Catalina's were full size and the Tempest were compact cars. I pulled this from Wiki.  I haven't broke the box open yet to do a side by side comparison.

(I have a sweet spot for the Catalina family as my first car was a 1973 Pontiac Catalina, 4dr with the 400/400 set up.)

Different trims.  The Catalina was the base full size, the Ventura the next step up with different side trim and upholstery patterns.  Both on a shorter wheel base than upper level Star Chief and top model Bonneville.

I stopped at the Arlington Tx Hobbytown to check out their vintage kits and found one I've wanted for years. I built this Audi a long time ago and lost it somewhere along the line. Now I have a chance to do it again!

Thanks Don!

I was in the office again after the debacle with the Hudson, and dug out the OBS I have, and reorganized a few kits.

They will be a little further down the road builds. But I will enjoy them for sure!
