Went to a swap meet, was planning on only getting a couple kits, im proud to say I stuck with that. Got a revellogram 30 woody, big $10 bag of tires, and an amt 28 sedan. The woody i got from a friend so I got it for $15. The bag of tires was a great deal, got it for the slicks and turns out there were 30 amt goodyear blue streaks. And the 28 is one of my grails, its a survivor, build pretty clean. But I practically stole it from the guy for $30. 20251025_145447.jpg.b32c2d5f37bf46aa9ef650256d4e7768.jpg20251025_145453.jpg.3317c2905dfd594b82fe83a00b43678b.jpg20251025_145708.jpg.3264e719a7673cc5519c109aa436e469.jpg

This was also cool, the guy I bought the 28 ford from had this box of 1967 annual kits, already sold unfortunately. 20251025_113237.jpg.7a04bcc8d5cf2733167c2149f82c5ce7.jpg

He really liked you and sold it way low because he could tell how much you wanted it. :)

Really glad you got that 28 A, it's a really clean build.

Oh I know, I really appreciate it. I was really surprised at the price and couldn't say no. I also took it apart when I got home and it practically fell apart.20251025_165832.jpg.55713d7dbb85dc6dc400d15a101f741c.jpg

Found a Revell Streetburners '70 Plymouth Superbird with everything but tires for $4.99 plus a donation for a family shelter at one thrift store. Also for 99 cents, a 1/25 scale diecast Pet Milk tanker trailer that will be modified into the Orinco fuel tanker from Pet Sematary and get a Revell Pete 359 snap kit to tow it at some point.

another day, another emhar bedford. only the tipper left to get but it doesn't interest me much. This i got for the chassis and front end so i can try doing an old bus. The kit provides the correct chassis for the bus bt the body from the screen back will be scratched. I have some great engineering drawings of the side profile so it might not be too bad. The leftover tank and its base will be added to my old shed dio as a lot of them ended up that way

Thanks, this is turning out to be a bit of a gold mine. It's got the model master buffing metalizer with the laquer and 50 odd tins of humbrol.

Hard to find since they quit making it. I only have titanium metallizer left. Used the last of my aluminum plate last night

I've always wanted to try it, it was out of production long before I got back into the hobby. I've got a few to try out now.

I came home from the ACME show with many additions to the stash and a much lighter wallet. I've been looking for a good deal on the C6-R for a while.

Spend some time at the California Hot Rod Reunion doing some racing, but, I took the time to cruise the swap meet area and found something I have been wanting for  years, the Testors Ms. Budweiser!

Complete and the decals are perfect!

Lots of stuff arrived at the same time today. The Corvette's will become a '66 Bill Heilscher drag car, the Chevelle will be an LS6, white/black stripes with dark red interior, the Cutlasses are chassis donors for my '68 and '70 GTO projects, and the Comanche is a fresh 3d print that will be built as a sport truck similar to a GM Syclone.

Stopped by WalMart today to pick up some printer ink.  On the way out I walked through the toy department and they have a small display of AMT kits. They had: 53 Ford Pickup, 60 Chevrolet w/go-cart, Monte Carlo w/chopper & trailer, 63 Impala, 62 Impala convertible, 71 Duster, 68 Camaro, 69 Ford Galaxie, Charger, Firestone Pickup, and 92 Ford Flareside pickup.  The Firestone and the 92 Flareside found their way into my shopping cart. Going to try to build a 4X4 92 Ford Flareside.

I almost picked up an Emhar kit when I was in England two years ago. But the box was a little larger, and there's only so much room in my suitcases!

It was the Bedford OSBT, kit 2402.

Now I'm kicking myself.
