Picked up these two. I'm not really a snap-tite guy, so these will both get full chassis, engine, etc. The Short box is to replicate a truck I had about 20 years ago, a 96 Z71 4X4. Mt truck was the same emerald green metallic, but I was surprised that it's actually molded in white - a good thing. I do need a canopy for the build if anyone knows where to find one.

The C3500 will get slammed - I love that look but usually folks install ridiculous rims with rubber bands for tires and airbags these days. I'm old school - static drop and some beefy rolling stock.

I didn’t realize the 92 was a snap kit.

It isn't. It's curbside. Lots of people just assume that means it snaps together. He's going to be really pleased to find out both those kits require glue. ?

Finally found a cheap diecast Lincoln Mark LT. It was a scratch and dent kinda deal... A couple paint blemishes, a missing wiper and passenger side mirror, but for my purposes I'm not gonna spend $200 on a pristine example.

Ahh, good to know. Thanks, Chuck. I assumed that Easy-Build was a euphemism for Snap-Tite.

Spoiler alert... The dash snaps into the interior tub.  The tailgate snaps in at the hinges but won't stay shut without glue. The grille doesn't technically snap in but there's enough of a tension fit you *might* be able to get away without using glue. ? But yeah, Easy Build just means Easy Build for these kits and I'm happy to say they're exactly as described in that aspect.

Snapfast plus I think

Yessir. The original 1996 dually was part of the Snapfast Plus line. Basically an unassembled dealer promo. There was a Brickyard promo that was a short box regular cab, but I think this is the first time AMT offered this configuration as a curbside kit (they did a 454 SS kit but it was full detail).

Weren't they originally promos?

These kits ARE NOT reissues of the original curbside kits based on the promos.

They are completely new tooling BASED [cloned] on them.

You mentioned a "Canopy" or maybe a camper shell. The original issue of the C3500 extended cab dually GMC pickup has a solid sided camper shell in it. While it is a long bed it wouldn't be that hard to shorten the shell. There are no side windows in the shell, but again you could add those as needed.

Ahhh, thanks very much for the information on this!

Minor correction.  The 3500 with the GMC grille has a tonneau cover, not the shell. The shell is in the 1993 Chevrolet C1500 extended cab long bed Snapfast Plus kit. Stock green truck on the box. The shell isn't shown or mentioned on the box but it's in there.

You may be correct. I'm going to have to look in my stash tonight and see if I can find the model I mentioned.

While stuck in Boston for 40 days. It only lead to me buying more kits which I don’t need as I am selling some off. . Here’s what was waiting for me when we got home yesterday. More still coming next week. I don’t know what it is about the Aerovette. I have a red one missing a few parts. But this one was a bargain and only missing 2 rear hub caps. I never see parts for these kit and if I do. They still demand a high price.

I thought it was the teal C2500 extended cab longbed non-Dually with the cap.  I’ll have dig mine out, but I don’t think that dark red C3500 Dually kit had it.

Ok. It’s a sickness. LOL. Did I need these? No.

I really hope Ollie's makes a move here in Texas. I've heard they have three here, but I'm not driving 4 hours to find out. LOL

I didn't even know they were in Texas, but then I live in the sticks. All four of those locations are in striking distance for me. Closest is Stephenville and Killeen. We do go to Waco occasionally and now I have one more reason to go to Abilene once in awhile.

My amt off road International scout arrives this afternoon.  I can't believe I went this long without picking both if these up. Used to surf with a guy who had one back when he lived in San Diego.  These were what you went off road20230731_121957.thumb.jpg.6dcfca1aec25951f428bea93bd587a46.jpging with before there were all these rock crawling buggies and the like.

Look closely at that picture on the box. Note how grille is horizontally straight? The kit inside has that wrong and you will notice the edge of the grille and hood is curved where they meet. Doesn't take much to correct, but it will make you notice the error if you are familiar with the vehicle at all.

Got some new decals for my 70 1/2 Camaro.  All I needed were the front and rear scripts.  I’m working on the orange box kit and it doesn’t have those two.  These are from the full bumper kit.
