plasticdna Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I was trying google but no luck. I will ask my buddy for some. He is a true collector with history.

Exotics_Builder Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 forgive me for asking a stupid question, but what scale are the tire machine and wheel balancer? those look cool as heck! They claim 1/24th. I would say between 1/24 and G Scale (1/22.5). Hobby Gear has a bunch of diorama stuff: http://phoenixtoys.com/Hobby-Gear

High octane Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Picked these up at a swap/show Saturday. Just about 130 pairs of all kinds of skirts, some are labeled, others I have no ideal. Nice haul on the skirts as I was lookin' for some today at a swap meet, but no luck.
Tony T Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Saturday I picked up the 1/48 Revell B-17G...built a 1/72 as a kid and always wanted to replace it...finally did, just a bit bigger! Nick - Nice haul and congrats on the plaques!
Kit Basher Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Tony, you will enjoy that B-17. Like you, I had a 1/72 as a kid. I bought the 1/48 on a whim a few years back, it's the kit that got me back into modelling. It builds up real nice, and you can spend a lot of time detailing the interior that no one will ever see!
tbill Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 Gerry, thanks for the link, now I have yet another place to spend money, haha. got this in the mail today, the fleet is growing....
Nick Winter Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Saturday I picked up the 1/48 Revell B-17G...built a 1/72 as a kid and always wanted to replace it...finally did, just a bit bigger! Nick - Nice haul and congrats on the plaques! Thank you Tony, They help fill in blank spots on my shops wall LOL (actually I wish I had some more wall space to put up some framed photo's I have) Nick
Chuck Most Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Pair of decent black vinyl low back buckets, from an '88 Dodge cargo van of all things. I do have to clean them up a bit, though they don't look as grungy in person as they do in the pic.
Longbox55 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I went to the Hoosier Swap Meet last Saturday, meant to try to hit Goodguys, too, but by the time we left Hoosier, had lunch, and hit the south Hobbytown and Big 4 Hobbies, it was getting late. However, I did make a pretty good haul. Then there was the one I let get awayYes. it's an original UNBUILT Revell '57 Ford Ranch Wagon!! The seller was asking $400 for it, I considered it, but knowing my luck, Revell would announce a retool body for their current '57 Ford by the time I got home with it And now for a build idea for the Henderson Motorcycle from Motor City Resin
Daddyfink Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Yup! Got my Datsun 510 Running! Now for some paint! Edited September 24, 2013 by Daddyfink
Deathgoblin Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Got a Monogram 65 Corvette kit last night in the mail from Ebay. It's missing a couple of minor pieces, but I got it for $3 plus shipping. No complaints.
plasticdna Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 image.jpg image.jpg I wonder how much I can get for it? Any ideas?
2000-cvpi Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 image.jpgimage.jpg I wonder how much I can get for it? Any ideas? The sign on the top metal or plastic? Is there any dates on the sign or back boards? I wouldn't think it's worth a ton of money, but maybe fifty dollars. That's just a guess though.

sjordan2 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) 1/12 AMT 1937 Cord Sportsman 2-seater1/24 Monogram 1937 Cord Phaeton 5-seater -- my reference for turning the 1/12 into a phaeton. The wheelbase is the same so it shouldn't be a huge problem. Edited September 24, 2013 by sjordan2
2000-cvpi Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 (edited) Top sign is made of plastic. No dates. Just googled around a little, I couldn't find anything like what you have. I found old stuff, but nothing that looks like that. Try a separate post, there are lots more knowledgeable guys on here than me. Edited September 24, 2013 by 2000-cvpi

A quick "grocking" of the kit gave me a great impression of the kit, Hugh! I'm looking forward to building it eventually!

Rob Hall Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Stopped by the LHS after work and picked up the Revell '62 Corvette Gasser and Foose Charger. They look pretty good at first glance at the parts
o-man Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Some things from Ebay and Hobbytown. The ones without boxes are both Tamiya. 300zx with cracked windshield and Mitsu Evo. I'm going to give foil a shot on a 63 Galaxie "stock" car. If it works out like most of my stuff it will be an epic fail.
