JamesW Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Another six inches of snow on top of the 15 we had earlier last week. Same here, and it's still coming down.
disabled modeler Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Same here, and it's still coming down. X 2....our city has suspended all snowplowing till the storm passes here...its still at it so far.
crazyjim Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 My wife approved before I purchased it, Andy. She likes it already.
Chris White Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 And this is why you are called Crazy, Crazy lucky !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sixx Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Uh 18 or so inches of snow & the closure of the state of Indiana!! I heard I-80 & I-65 have been shut down...no traffic on them! Fun stuff!
Racephoto1 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I live in Indy, I shoveled 4 times, and will one more before I go to bed. The snow is the easy part, it's the -13 that will be bad. Looks like with a day off work I'll be working on a model tomorrow. Not bad at all.
High octane Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I got the latest issue of Elapsed Times at the grocery store today, and hopefully it'll help motivate me into building again.
Greg Cullinan Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 My wife approved before I purchased it, Andy. She likes it already. Jim didn't you recently buy a dune buggy too?
slusher Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Here's what showed up in my driveway today. And now the rebuilding fun begins. Cool Jim....
mk11 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Cool ! Good thing you've got the grip tires; looks like winter's hitting you hard down there mike

High octane Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 We only have a few inches of snow also, quite a few!
oldnslow Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Jim, I thought the one you bought was blue. Did you get it repainted or am I thinking of someone else? I just picked up a stinger for my buggy too, really like the way they sound. Edited January 6, 2014 by oldnslow
pharoah Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Cold here too,but we didn't get quite as much snow as the northern part of the state. I don't have to go anywhere, and I'm not.. Got this original Monogram Big Tub last Friday. Not too bad except the passenger side looks like they poured a bottle of Testor's liquid cement down between the body and interior. Got it aprt without too much damage. It's going to be a restoration project.

I plan to swap wheels and get the blue one on ebay soon.
simonr Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Hi, could you tell us the name of the LHS, I'll be in the Phoenix area next March and I like to buy GSI Creos products. Simón P. Rivera Torres I see the same thing at our local shows, and at first, I thought the same, why are not buying anything, but I guess when you already have most of the kits that are being sold I did pick up some stuff at the LHS today
DrKerry Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 It's going to be a project car, Kerry. I have disc brakes ready for the front. When I removed the back seat today I ripped out the wire from the battery to the voltage regulator. It took me and a neighbor almost 2 hours to figure out what happened that there was no power. It has a 1641cc engine and the exhaust will be replaced with a stinger unit. Don't need no heater boxes here in Florida (although tomorrow night is supposed to get down to 27. Nasty. It'll be even better when ya get it done. Sorry to hear about the wire issue, at least ya figured it out...
Big Daddy Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 12 inches of snow, blizzard conditions and 6 to 8 more inches of snow on the way,, and -40 enough already

Exotics_Builder Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Cool decals Gerry! Where did ya get them?? I would like to know that as well. Not cheap, but high quality. Ordered December 27. Not bad time frame. http://www.uschivdr.com/
Tom Geiger Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 This showed up from eBay! It may not look lie a big deal to you, but it's a fresh clean 1972 Chevy Impala interior! The last part I needed to complete my car, which is the last car I needed to complete my Chevy run from the early 1950s to 1976! Yea! And why am I doing the happy dance? The interior bucket is the one part that Modelhaus doesn't make. I had a search agent looking for it on eBay for something like six months. Mission accomplished and for only $10 too!
