Jhedir6 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 This arrived yesterday.... New FXX K with the detail up photoetch and carbon decals, along with the detail wire from Scale Motorsports I got the other day. Picked this up at Michael's while out running some errands, availing myself of a 40% off coupon. Now its time to start in on some projects. David
Daddyfink Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Been looking for an unbuilt IMC or Union VW stock/altered kit for a while. Very cool! I just picked one up last night at my Model Meeting! Another Grail done!
Deathgoblin Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Got a Bandai 1/20 Renault Alpine A110. It's a nice looking kit.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 23, 2016 Posted June 23, 2016 Just arrived today & I'm very excited about getting started on it! In fact, I believe I'll get going on it right away being as my '65 Fury build is stalled at the moment. This was the result of a great trade with Al, (thatz4u). I'm very grateful to him for providing me with this great old kit! Thanks Al!! Steve
slusher Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Slusher, what kit is that chrome tree from?I wish i could tell you but i bought it on ebay and was the last one from that seller..
peekay Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 Steve, I LOVE that 62 Chrysler - and it couldn't have gone to a better home.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 24, 2016 Posted June 24, 2016 (edited) It's been a little like Christmas around my house today! Came home to 3 packages on my front step! First was a trade that I did with "larry ray". a sealed Moebius '56 Chrysler. Next was an Ebay find. A pretty nice AMT 1960 Lincoln Continental. I needed another one of those like a hole in the head! Last, & the most exciting was my re-plated parts from "Kustom Khrome". I'm going to do a review of this in another topic. Absolutely amazing!! Steve Edited June 25, 2016 by StevenGuthmiller

All I got today was some wheels I'm hoping will work for my Ford GTLM car, since they're the only ones I've been able to find so far. Hopefully I can find some tires in the stash that will work.

alan barton Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Vince, I am fairly certain that that chrome sprue is from the AMT ramp truck body that Model King reissued some years ago. CheersAlan

thatz4u Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Got this one last week from Steven Guthmiller in a trade, was going to build it stock, then I saw a W-30 engine in the parts box, & the wheels from the Revell 83 Cutlass, soooo.......

It's your model. But, I hope you still decide to build it stock. I don't know why? But, to me it doesn't seem right to modify this one. But, again it's your model. So build it the way you'd like. And not the way I'd like it.
StevenGuthmiller Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Was this plating done through the guy at the NNL North, Steve?Yes Scott. And I don't believe that I will go back to Chrome Tech.Bob's stuff is sooooo much better.I had to go over all of these pieces with a fine toothed comb to find even the tiniest imperfection.Absolutely amazing!! Steve

XJ6 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Found this cheap at the Flea Market today. (Pic grabbed from the 'net.) Mint inside, all inner bags still sealed. And the original outer shrink-wrap stuck inside the box! Also found some very cheap Off-Topic kits (aircraft). Will use those to improve skills, I hope: good find ??
