bogger44 Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I went with the old line "There's no replacement for displacement" with this. The 350 went into the parts box, and the L-88 427 from the Revell '68 Corvette convert. took it's place. Headers came from the B/M '69 Camaro. Done in Model Master Huggar Orange with a Krylon semi-gloss black interior. Did my trick of using washers for disc brakes on this one too. Ended up being one of my favorite builds. Did I just say that? Being a Ford guy, maybe I should have kept that to myself!
fiftiesguy Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Very nice! This is the car Chevy should have built. Definitely would have showed a few Hemi 'Cudas the way home!!
Darbo Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Very nice build, looks fast just sitting there!
Roadracer Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I love the looks of this one! Beautiful model! And great concept too! Thanks for sharing this!
SuperStockAndy Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I love that. Just a nice, clean, simple build.
mikemodeler Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Dang it, now you got me thinking I better get mine done! Very nice job, clean looking build and nice detailing touches.
A.R.C. Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Awesome!!! Novas are one of my alltime favorite cars. No matter what condition they are in they have a total tough guy attitude about them.
bbowser Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Awesome model. Love the color, stance, and wheel choice. Just an all around great job.
tyrone Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Your Nova turned out great.... can't go wrong with torque thrusts...
Cato Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 This is the car Chevy should have built. Definitely would have showed a few Hemi 'Cudas the way home!! Joel Rosen at Motion did. Put L-88's in everything. Yenko and NicKey (the 'K' was backwards) did too. Mid-morning when the traffic was light on Sunrise Hwy, Mitchell or Rosen would make a full pass 'test session', usually with 4:33's, slicks and open headers. Been there, saw that. Those were WONDERFUL days....
slusher Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Fantastic looking nova, Tony. Nice paint finish and engine detail....
crazyjim Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Sweet, simple and SHINY :) . Can't go wrong there.

Olskoolrodder Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Very nice build,I like the "too much is almost enough" mentality of power, this one fits nicely
James2 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Great build, clean and sharp. And very convincing photography. I like it
Geno Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) Very nice! This is the car Chevy should have built. Definitely would have showed a few Hemi 'Cudas the way home!! I agree, but I'm sure the Yenko Nova's done that quite nicely. Edited December 4, 2012 by Geno
